last night I was watching TLC and watched a program on people who are hoarders. Not animal hoarders but people who collect junk, and stuff they think they need! TLC spotlighted 3 people. One was a guy who lived in New York who collected so much stuff he couldn't use his stove,his shower or second bedroom! He really wanted to stop being a hoarder! He knew why he doing it and started cleaning up! He lifted alot of himself for doing that! The other 2 weren't as successful! One was a couple and they both were hoarders! Their son was beoming one! There was so much stuff around in the house the mom could harder get in her bed! They had to make paths around stuff to get to other rooms! Tis couple tired a yard sale and were going to clean up the whole house. At the yard sale the mom had the husband watch it while she decided to check out other rummage sales were she bought more stuff! After that they both gave up! The 3rd person was a woman who was so bad she really thought she didn't have a problem! Her favorite thing was to go and pick up stuff on trash day! She had so much stuff in her home it was like that couple house! To make it worse the daughter was living there with her baby! That place is not for children of any age! The son keep on her back for years to clean up the house! He finally convinced her to donate 3 boxes of stuff to Goodwill. That took a few days because she won't part with much! While going to the Goodwill she had to stop and pick up a lamp on the curb someone was throwing out! The son was with her and he tried to stop her! It didn't work and he was left there with no way home but to walk! The woman admitted she had a problem but wasn't going to stop. She said it made her happy and she liked doing it! I watched that aand was appauled! I believe a person has something wrong with them in the heard to get that way! It made me sick and hoped I never get that way! Hoardering is really disgusting!
