Something a person on Mylot should look for when attempting to make money is other peoples websites or blogsites. Since you can't put any links on Mylot people have a blog and put their links on there. Great way to keep Mylot uncluttered. There are some really nice sites out there with great information. Take the time to look under them and research. I figure if a site is listed on different peoples blogs etc. more often, then it must be a good site to check out. Saves me a lot of time on the computer!

Personally, I do not find volume of mentions to be an accurate estimate of a site's worth. I have seen wildfires rashes of sites being mentioned, with everyone jumping on board, that later turned out to be nothing more than scams. The reason that volume is not a good indication is that almost everyone is trying to get referrals to the sites that they are on. You can be signed up for a site, doing nothing on it, and still talking it up and trying to get people to join under you. It is better to find a single blog from a person that you find trustworthy (takes time to establish that) than weigh your options in the court of popular referral mongering.
