I am dying to by myself a new LCD monitor but I simply don't have enough cash to buy one. I am doing all this hard work online with a hope that I can use this cash to buy myself some computer and xbox accessories. And once I get a LCD monitor, I can replace my old traditional CRT one and even get my electricity bills reduced! Happy mylotting!

LCDs do not have the CRT or Cathode ray tube.CRT is what makes a normal monitor or TV bulky. That is where most of the voltage/ power is utilized.( It is where the electron beam is generated to produce the images on your screen). But with LCDs since the display is Liquid crystal, the technology itself is different. As there is no CRT, the electricity bill will be lower for sure. I hope this explanation helps a little.

yes. at first i was using a crt monitor. which was samtron 56v. now i am using a benq lcd monitor. it saves much space and so that my computer table doesnot get messed up. during old days when i was using crt, my table was a total mess, it contained pen, books cds and all. but now lot of space on table.also lcd monitor is good for eyes. so i prefer lcd.

Highly reccommend getting one. You'll definately love the difference and the space LCDs save is great on a cramped desk.

I currently use LCD monitor. I replaced my former CRT monitor with LCD. It's lighter and does not consume much space on the desktop unlike CRT. CRT is very bulky.

Yes i have a lcd, its far more better to own a lcd rather than a conventional monitor which not only takes more space but it also give poor picture quality as compared to lcd.

I use an LCD monitor with my main computer and love it. I have to admit I don't hate CRTs, though...I grew up with them! I think thieves also prefer LCDs because they weigh less (though that means it's also easier for you to move around your LCDs too) so that's one possible downside, but I would agree that overall LCDs are better.

I do not use lcd not because it is bad or anything. I actually prefer it. But crt monitor are much more cheaper than lcd. other wise from the picture quality i do not see any more essential differences. Lcd is lighter, yes i agree with that, but how would weight help me if i am not going to move around my desktop(IT IS NOT A LAPTOP, IT IS A DESKTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!)My desktop is not portable you know. So i would still stick too my crt monitor. But if someone would a give a lcd monitor to me i Would have take it, no question it took.
