Mobile phones - no longer used for comunications alone?

The sole purpose of a cell phone was supposed to be for communication purposes, but with so many advancements in technology and all the features available on a cell, do you mainly use it for communication any longer ? I myself use a cell phone for its other features than communication(what it was originally designed to do.)

Yeah I agree...but still I use it for communication only...but my husband loves exploring the features in his cell..that too he has bought a new cell now, Samsung Jet.. This phone has a LED display and it is crystal clear, the sound is clear and not sharp enough to trouble your ears...He loves exploring it and uses every feature in the cell...

yeah, I used my cellphones to store my files likes word, excel, photos, videos, songs and games. I have a extra storage memory and i used it to store my files. I could carry it in my cellphones so convenient, light and flexible. I used it not only to calls, text or sending messages, but also to chat from IM,,then surf internet, it is also a pda an ipod, and making videos in one devices..almost complete..

I just basically use mine for talking, but with all the featurs it is, I like plaing around with them as well. I have lots of features on my enV touch. I have looked at webpages on it, watch youtube videos, and went to mylot on it, and I started posting but got distracted so I had to quit. It is amazing how technology has really changed over the years. It is really advanced a lot faster than I wouldhave thought. It seems everything about technology has changed and moves very fast. I do enjoy my cell phone, but still trying to figure everything out as I have only had it about a week. Take care, and happy mylotting.
