I would like a non technical response please.to question about friends list.

Over the weeks my friends list has grown and I would like to reorganise it so that my favourites are all together at the beginning. Is this possible, as in moving a friend from page five to page one.
If it is possible I need a non technical explanation on how to go about doing this.
I will not be doing it tonight so will not respond immediately, I intend to attempt to do this if it is possible, tomorrow, and slowly work through any answers given until I hit success. Plwase bear in mind that when I say non technical this is actually what I mean, I don't do computer jargon.

Thea you can spend tomorrow doing something else because nothing can be dome about the order in which your friends appear on the list. They remain in the order in which they appeared forever and ever and ever.
You can go through it before it gets too huge and remove those who are no longer here though. That will slim it down a bit I have no doubt

Ahh, if only we could. The friend list is one of those things that you can not customize. It is ordered by date that the friend requests were accepted in.
So the only option to get your favorite on page one would be to delete all your friend, and request your favorites first, then wait until they accpeted before doing any more friends requests. And that would be such a pain to do.
There might be technical way to build a widget to do this in a separate module, but it would be a lot of work for someone to use. Not that I have time to design it; I got an article that I need to research and write before midnight (the next few days are so booked up).

Hey, I barely understood the technical thought myself. And I would have to look a few things up to make it work. In the end, it would not be worth the trouble to do this either way.

LOL yea I guess that would be your only option. Adding ppl alphabetically and that would suck lol I didn't realise you had so many answers. Sorry bout that. I don't tend to look at that when I am replying.

Hi STrawberrykisses, your response confirms the response above all of which conclude with 'it cannot be done' so now I just have to wait for the one answer which reveals it can actually be done. Oh, I forgot I had that one, you can do it by deleting all your friends in one fell sweep. I've decided against this option as they all did it without getting technical.

unfortuneatly your friends list is not really organizable. It is just a list. This is one of my pet peves with the site. I would like very much for a little more controll and organizability, such as being able to group your friends by interests, and such.

I'm getting the clear idea that this cannot be done, and without a technical word in sight. I really expected lots of computer jargon befuddling me. I must say I find it very irritating as it is though, just like your good self. Sorry, that reads wrong, I don't find you irritating just the order of the friends list.

Hi LetranKnight, I won't mention that this is the ninth answer saying that it can't be done even though it is. At least you've added something interesting but not enough for me to search out whoever is on page nine, that's my point, it should be on page one. I have an avatar I like to swoon over on my very first page, lucky me, I think all men should be compelled to have swoon avatars like that if they want to make themselves popular
