By keeping pets, people benefit a lot. First of all, pets drive loneliness away. Besides that, often a pet can comfort us when our human friends cannot. And taking care of a pet helps a child grow up into a responsible adult.

Yes, we could benefit a lot from keeping pets. Especially for old people, they may feel very loney, but with pets, they could feel better. Pets could comfort them. For me, I like dogs best.

I have two miniature poodles and they are so loving towards me. They are the most wonderful companions to have with me in my home. I learned how to take care of pets when I was a child. I do believe that having a pet when a child is great if she or she does take great care. If he or she loses interest I think that the parent should care for the pet. Each pet deserves excellent care and what is suitable varies from animal to animal. Dogs like walks and rabbits like to have a clean hutch and to be safe from foxes.

I have lots of pets and always have since I was little. Right now I have 7 dogs and 6 cats and one of my cats just had her first litte rof kittnes. I am trying to come up with the money to get them fixed so there won't be anymore cats and dogs. I love my pets but I can't afford to take care of anymore. I agree that having pets makes a person happier. I wouldn't know what to do without mine. :)

Taking care of pets must be considered as a responsibility. It's like taking care of a baby. You must feed them, take a bath and love them. But somehow, I'm so sad when I heard or watch in a tv show, that many people especially here in my country, are enjoying killing and eating dogs.. A very shameful attitude, and sad to know I can't do anything to stop them.. Such poor creatures..
