Have y'all ever tried baked pancakes? I love them a little more than the regular way. I've started making baked pancakes early last year when the thought that it took too much time flipping and waiting for them to get done. They're good both ways though, baking them saves more time.

I would think that baking pancakes would take more time than doing them up on a griddle, but i suppose it would afford you the ability to not have to watch them the entire time you are coooking them. How do you make baked pancakes? Do you use the same type of batter as for regular pancakes? I would think that the batter would spread out too much and make the pancakes very very thin, and not cake like at all, as the edges woudln't form up as they do when you poor the batter onto a hot griddle pan. You have piqued my curiosity.

to keep your pancakes from tearing, first make sure your batter isn't too watery, and second, wait to flip them until there are bubbles coming up all through the middle. also, try making them smaller, that will help in the flipping process
