Did you see that they're making a Lovely Bones movie? It's crazy how many movies are coming out lately that are great books! I may have to re-read this book before I go see the movie. It's been years since I read this book! Anyone else planning on going to see it?

Huh, I hadn't heard about that. I think it would be kind of strange as a movie.

Hi Jennlk! I have read the book and watched the movie. As usual, the book is better. Though the movie is not that bad! The rapist guy looks very creepy. His underground hub would have been a nice secret place (for normal people). After reading Lovely Bones, I'm not sure if I am interested to read another Alice Sebold. Lovely Bones is good but not outstanding

I haven't read it yet, but I read a different book by the same author called "Lucky" and that was pretty good (although a bit disturbing to be honest with you). Lovely Bones sounds like a good book, and I definintely want to READ it before seeing the movie - The books usually seem to be twenty times better!

I know, I am also very excited to find out how the movie would go. I sure hope they give justice to the book. The cast seem great though, and I love that Susan Sarandon is playing the grandmother. And I trust Stanley Tucci to be really creepy as George Harvey. ALthough I never imagined Marky Mark to be the dad, I somehow imagined him to be somewhat lanky and "weaker" in the physical sense. Anyway, Peter Jackson is the director so I am expecting this movie to be great!

I have seen the movie. And it's not really that related to the book. For me, it was somewhat strange and really complicated. Just read the book. It's really different when you see the movie.
