The republican party claims to be the party for individual freedom and for godly people; but it is very disrespectful of the opinions of others, thrives by celebrating war and is determined to maintain old ways, regardless, by teaching and spreading hate to young people! How dare you republicans criticize others and do not want to be criticized?
I am Christian and can tell you that one cannot be christian and be so barbaric and hypocritical! Please, stop the hate!

Do you have anything to back up your ridiculous claims? Perhaps you haven't been watching the news lately. I've been watching democrats call those who oppose Obama's health care plan astroturf, angry mobs, racists, terrorists, un-American, and everything else they can come up with. I've watched Democrat commentators like Chris Matthews say that these people who oppose his health care plan are just a bunch of ugly old white people as though being white or old means their vote doesn't count as much and they should be ignored. I even saw a town hall meeting where a cancer survivor was asking a question about the health care plan and in the middle of her question the Congresswoman decided to make a phone call and ignore her completely.
You're blind if you think this behavior is somehow specific to republicans, or are you just the same as those people who can do nothing but hurl insults at anyone who disagrees with Obama's health plan?

I'll have to hunt it down. Glenn Beck showed it with a handful of clips of Matthews and other MSNBC goons constantly bringing race into the health care argument and repeatedly saying it was all about white men who can't handle a black president and such. In one of the clips he said something like "Look around at the people there, it's just a bunch of ugly old white men. There's no multiculturalism there". I'll hunt through youtube for a clip and post it when I find it.

Well, I was watching him when he said that all of these protests were because we have a black president. That's what it all boils down to in his mind.
I guess he still has that thrill going down his leg for Obama!
I've been watching MSNBC (I know, why torture myself) and that's all they have to say in between making fun of people and mocking the protesters. Basically, snyone who isn't for anything that Obama wants are racists. Period.

Ok, now it's time to hear from a non republican. Your right for the most part. Now subsitutue the word "republican" with the word "government" or the phrase "the two big parties". If you are going to argie your point, at least place blame fully where it belongs instead of only half of. Every thing you critisized, and for the most part rightly so, can be applied equally to the democratic party. Come on nets, you know this FULL well more than many here. Why are you now pushing the same false pardigm the government pushes? Since WHEN have you become that much of a statist? I won't believe it.

I am with you, Xfahctor. I have somewhere stated that the republicans and democrats are simply the two sides of the same coin! While the democrats act it outright, the republicans often present this image of holy than thou and yet by their very acts are nothing but white painted tombs!

I did not know that Christians could be hypocrites. You are clearly a hypocrite. Remember when Democrats said dissent is patriotic, I bet you do. Remember Code Pink or ACORN, I bet you do also. So it is okay for them to dissent how ever they want to, but if Republican decide to protest we get people like you saying how dare them . Well Netsbridge how dare you spread your lies, and your hate of your fellow man! You are the barbarian, the hypocrite, and you are an embarrassment to your religion! Remember you cannot serve to master, you have clearly decided to serve master Obama.

I have no problem with people criticizing those in public offices. My problem is when people who allege to be for individual freedom criticize and yet do not want to be criticized! Besides, I am neither democrat nor republican. I am simply a commonsense logician who is very conservative on moral and ethical issues and very liberal on people's right to freedom of speech. My conclusion is the result of experience and unbiased observation.
I am Christian, and I do not live a life of do as I say: I do my best with God's grace to be a doer of the WORD and my words. Thus, I do not appreciate people who hide under the umbrella of Christianity to perform their evil, hypocritical and godless deeds!

As I was reading this I was thinking to myself, "Are some of the members here going to be mad!" and I see I was right! I really don't see how anyone can deny that SOME Republicans are exactly as you've described. Not all of them, in fact probably a very small percentage of them, but there are certainly quite a few among those who "speak" for the party. Democrats have their share as well, I won't deny that, but they're lagging behind right now. I see it's been mentioned here about Dems calling the protesters "astroturf"; that isn't exactly a "hateful" thing to say, especially when compared to being called "Hitler" and it came about because of the claim that these protests at town hall meeting were part of a "grass roots" movement. My main problem is how can those who brag about their Christian faith be so unconcerned about millions of people without health care and thousands dying every year as a result?

anniepa, Don't take our word for how Chris Mathews thinks,go on utube and watch the videos. It's a well known fact that he is a left-wing wacko. We were called natzis by Pelosi. These senior citizens FOUGHT THE NATZIS. What the conserativies said was Natizism translated is national socialisum. Hitler was FOR single payer health insurance. Hitler was for setting wages for the workers. We are not saying Obama wants to murder 6 million jews. Obama is against Isrial. He is being friendly with Hamas,Castro,Chavez, and is pressuring the Hounduras government to take back the Left-Wing radical that wanted to keep ruling the country even though his term limit expired! The US is now punishing Hunduras even though it was their supreme court that ruled he had to go. The majority of voters are against single payer healthcare because it will ration care. How stupid are you that you don't realize this. It's been tried over and over again and it doesn't work! You want socialized healthcare, move to Canada and take your liberal freeloading friends with you.We are pissed off and we are taking this country back.We also don't need to pay SEIU thugs to go to townhall meetings.

Anniepa, true the republicans and democrats are very alike! I have often said that it is impossible to be a decent person and belong to any political party as we have them today! My main problem is that we have people calling themselves the party for freedom and godly people acting anything but what they allege.
As a matter of fact, I have never supported government taking care of people. I believe that government should simply assist in creating a society where all have equal opportunity to thrive for themselves. I simply do not appreciate people committing as many crimes and wicked acts referring to themselves as the godly party!

Carson, I don't need to watch any brief You-Tube snippets of Chris Matthews, I watch his show in its entirety every night. As for the Hitler or Nazi references, I'm sure health care reform isn't what most think about when those words are used.

I don't consider myself to be of either party. I always vote for the side that most matches my beliefs and ideals on matters. I have at times sided with the republics on issues and at other times the democrats. There haven't been any in office that I've been overly impressed with in a great long while and that goes for both sides.

I forgot to mention your perceptiveness. I think you probably have not been impressed recently with any because both democrats and republicans are simply the two sides of the coin: They actually have the same agenda of wanting to keep us all on a very tight leash!

Well, it is true. They are so busy competing against each other that they really are not paying attention to us...the people. They all lie and have their own agendas. Even when they seem trustworthy....isn't long before you find out they are just better actors. I haven't been real passionate about anyone in office for a very long while. I do get passionate about certain ones running for office but what my experience has been is that those are the ones that don't make it ....they back down or are driven down early on. By the end of the race...our choice on who to vote for are ....What????
