"When you grasp the hands, you get nothing, but when you open your arms, you get the world." That is a saying I overheard from the tv just now. What smart phisolophy! And how do you think of the saying?

How wonderful! Too many people keep themselves closed up, like clasped hands, and keep others out entirely. I prefer those with open arms, ready to accept whoever and whatever might come into their lives.

Hi zhuhuifen, You are right this is great and to me it's meaning is very clear. When one refuses to help another or to seek the friendship of another but thinks only of himself, he/she gets nothing. If however, we welcome all with open arms ready to embrace all who offers true friendship we will get everything. Blessings.

Hi, wonderful topic of discussion... a practical philosophy too! We welcome our families and friends with an open arms! It shows sincerity and great bonding too! A Big Hug is a good culture, everyone need a hug too! Every now and then, give a hug to someone you love! It means a whole world to the person That is my perception, but I think there is MORE to it. I will come back here once in awhile to check other responses, I am curious too...HUGS All the best, do share your views at my topic..
