Did you breastfeed your newborn? If not, what substitute milk did you have him?

I decided to breastfeed my baby soon before he was born. Although I know that I'll go back from work after two months of leave and that I might not sustain the milk he needs from me I still tried it. I beleive that there is really no formula milk that can substitute the nutrients breastmilk can give. But due to hectic schedule in the office and being tired when I go home I had no choice but to stop. I only breastfeed my son for 4 months period. And I have no choice but to switch to formula milk. His pediatrician recommends Similac from Abott as substitute. Although I really believe that it's better if I had him breastfeed until 2 years of age, I think the formula milk also help him to be a healthy baby. So, to all the moms out there. Did you try to breastfeed your child? for how long? and if not what brand of milk did you gave as substitute.
