Do you have the habit of just bookmarking sites but not get back on them?

Every time I see an interesting site that I have come across from users here in mylot or from my PTC ads and surfing sites, I just bookmark them. I just do some rough reading and bookmark them instead to get back on them some other days. But I have never gotten back on them. I have tried to have a schedule on when to check on my bookmarks and that is every weekends. But every time it’s weekends I never do it. I just get so lazy checking on them and I don’t wanna be disturbed from my online works. I always say every time I’m about to review my bookmarks, “I’d rather spend the hours earning than getting back on the bookmarks”. A moment while ago I just bookmarked again 4 sites and woah… I didn’t notice the list have gotten really, really long now. I think I really need to review them cause’ for sure there are sites that ought to be deleted. And maybe I will organize my bookmarks cause’ they’re a mess. What about you? Have you cleared your bookmarks lately? How do you organize your bookmarks?

I tend to do that also. Then i was surprised to see a list on my bookmark! What i'm doing now is creating a folder to contain sites of the same type, just to be organized.

Hmm.. a folder to be organized. That's a good tip. I might try that. Just curious, how many folders do you have right now?

About 11 i think. Those contains about different hotels, programming languages, and others. you might want to try that since you think those sites will be useful for you in the future, to give you ease.

I bookmark a site only after some time when I realize it will be useful for me in the future.I don't make hasty decisions to bookmark each and every site that interests me for a short time. And I have a practice to unmark the sites which I don't visit, every month. So,I don't have problems like you.Cheers!

Hi srganesh! I think the sites that I have bookmarked can be useful in the future. They are mainly about online earnings that's why they caught my interest. But the problem is I have never gotten back on them to check which one is legit or not. Maybe I should stop bookmarking well, at least until I have checked on my current bookmarks. Happy posting!

Yeah, I just cleared it. I've realized I've bookmarked so much, and when I reviewed them, I couldn't even remember why I bookmarked them. I got lazy and just deleted them all!! I am back to bookmarking again though heheheh!

I usually bookmarking my favourite sites and some unfinished or interesting sites. But sometimes i forgot to visiting it back due to busy. But when i rechecking my bookmark on my browser, usually i revisit to that site. This is my old habit to saving a web link if i think that web could be useful on one day. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I do that pretty often. With me, it's usually articles that I want to read but can't do it because I need to sleep/go to class/eat/whatever, so I bookmark them, then I forget about them until I suddenly see a bookmark I don't recognise while trying to go to another site in my list. I also do that to downloads sometimes. Rapidshare limits the amount free users can download, so when I want to download from several links, I often bookmark them then forget to go back to them. It hasn't been long since the last time I cleared those forgotten bookmarks. I cleared some earlier today, actually. As for organisation, I don't really bother doing that. So... they're organised chronologically by the date I bookmarked them, since new ones are added to the bottom of the list. xP

Yes newly bookmarked sites are always placed at the bottom. But I still do need to organize them so all similar site that I will be needing will be under one folder. I think it's much easier to determine what site I should be visiting. Hey you mentioned rapidshare. I've seen it. That's an earning site right?

Are you watching me lol, I just book marked a page right before I saw your topic too funny, I have so many bookmarks its unreal, I too will clean it up one of these days, I must admit most of my bookmarks are things I do visit, but there are a few things I should get rid of, I type keep in the bookmarks that really are important to me, so it won't be hard for me when it is time to start deleting lol I try to keep the sites I visit the most at the top and everything else under so I don't have to go through them all when I am ready to visit a certain site.

Hahaha so you're an avid bookmarker like me! Well, I have done some cleaning today. I had the time to look into some, yes, still some that means there are a lot left to check. I took the opportunity since I can't log in on mylot earlier. But now that I'm logged in I'll do the cleaning maybe next week again. Keep bookmarking oh I mean posting!

Yes, I admit that I do and also that I seldom get back to them. Here in mylot, religion is one of my most favourite interest groups and while responding to various discussions in this section, I used to come a lot of links giving further information on various religions, religious beliefs, people who follow, their cultures, myths and so on…absolutely fascinating I should say. Now I seldom had time to go thru all those sites just then and there (too busy mylotitng) so I used to bookmark them. Whenever I had some time, I used to go and take a look but gradually I found that the list of bookmarked sites was increasing and I could not keep pace. A lot of sites remained unchecked and only added to the clutter on my browser page. So nowadays, I usually don’t bookmark sites anymore.

I'm guilty with this one too your honor. I categorize most of them though. I put them in folders, even create folders in folder if I have too. And also I tag some of them for quick access, just like here in myLot. When I need say site for "cars" I type car in my address bar and all my bookmark with car will be suggested. But there are some bookmark too that I just have to visit on my next browsing session like when I need to restart my browser when it is somewhat already sluggish. I just leave them on my recent bookmark folders.

I also have that habit of bookmarking sites. But I have to admit that I end up not visiting them later on. From time to time, I do clean up the sites that I have bookmark. I usually organize them by placing them on folders and categorized them based on different categories.

Well what categories do you have? If I categorize mine, I can only think of money making sites. I have a lot but never really know if they're legit or not.

You bookmark what you think is important. Me, I don't really know if what I'm bookmarking is important. I just bookmark whenever I see earnings hehe. I didn't even now that I have bookmarked the same site over and over again. I checked on some now and I that's how I found out.

I have a terrible habit of bookmarking sites I never go back to. I could probably use a good cleaning up now. Thanks for reminding me! I usually don't really organize them either. I'm thinkig I'll be back soon enough to look at them.

Yes, I did bookmark couple websites that I have not visited since. I have deleted a bunch of them couple weeks ago and found out I always bookmark website but not come back and check out the website again. Sometimes I feel very interested of the websitesa and bookmark them but forget to go back, sometimes especially the online pisode that I always watch, like I don't want to forget where I stop so I book mard the episode, so when I move on to the next one, I forget to delete the old one.
