Are the beautiful models really beautiful

I recently saw an e-mail having a comparison pictures of celebrities with and without makeup. I was shocked to see that some of them look terrible without make- up. With makeup same celebrities were looking like angels. But I think making the models look beautiful by only make up is still correct. There is one more technique using which the photographs of models are made beautiful and that technique is called digital image processing. In this technique the photographs of the models can be made beautiful by changing their eye colors, by removing the wrinkles, by changing the shape of their nose or lips. It means literally anything can be done on the photograph of the celebrity to make it look more beautiful. One governing body in UK thinks that this is not legally correct and they are asking to put ban on using these techniques to alter images for advertisement. There logic is that all the teens look at those models like their role models and they want to be as beautiful as them where as there role models in real life are not actually beautiful. The young people waste so much money and time running after these fake advertisements. What is your take on this thing? Do you think that it is ok to use all these techniques for advertising or do you think it is not morally correct to use these kind of things as they try to present the fake things as real.

people in the fashion industry are making a world of make-believe perfection.it is their marketing strategy that when you use their product, you can be as beautiful as their model.what they don't know is,people want reality.I,for one, believes that clothes will be more marketable when worn by a real, curvy girl.while a lot of men loves stick-thin figures, there are a few who loves curvy women.

That is true that some men like curvy women and will prefer the models to be the same too. But what matters is also what kind of clothes the model is presenting. So based on the clothes the figure of the model can be chosen.

few are beautiful but most looks beautiful only while putting make up. The real picture of them is seen when they are without make up in their homes or when u see them in reality shows. Being putting makeup, the skin becomes rough and thus without artificial ways they cannot look beautiful.

Yes this is also true. With excessive make up they destroy their skin also. So even if they are beautiful initially they loose their glow and beauty by the use of too much make up. But the nain point here is that even after the photos are taken they are modified using computers to remove the wrinkles, to change the eye color, to shape the nose or lips. This I think is not correct as these people are presenting fakeness in front of the world.

one of my favorite models is lily donaldson.while I think she's really pretty and all,I think her pictures are still airbrushed and photoshop.marketing campaigns are striving for flawless, perfect pictures to gain more clients.while it is really a marketing strategy,I think the best marketing strategy is still sticking to being real.like,if a dress looks lovelier with a curvy woman than a skinny woman,by all means have a curvy model.

One more thing is that when the pictures are tinkered to make them more beautiful somehow they loose their naturalness. Similarly if too much make up is done the model start looking fake. You are correct, it is best to choose models which people can relate in daily walks of life. That way of marketing will be more effective.

This is because they live in a make belief world. Make up is very essential here.

Yes I understand when you say that makeup is very essential for them. But do you think that tempering with the photographs to make them look more beautiful is good. This way they are presenting in front of the world an image which in fake. They do it just to attract more customers to buy there products. Don't you think it is cheating.

All i can say is they are not that pretty! As far as am concerned people look for fake things and am guessing they all want that!!! One might even wonder why we can't even get such perfect people leaving in their homes! Even if i see a celebrity i won't get excited they are just people like us!!! So i don't see any reason why people should get all hyped cos they look good in magz, adverts and all

hi MizFel, letsee77, it is actually correct. Show business is their work and they are getting paid for it. We should admire their work and not them. But in reality they are human beings like you and me so it is correct when you say that we should look them like normal people and nothing more. Ok I am writing this but even I will run after one particular celebrity from Indian film industry. But for me I have a soft corner for her so I would definitely go and try to talk to her if I will find her walking on the street. But I would not go after every other celebrity.

I agree with Mizfel about seeing a celebrity. I can't understand why some people go bonkers when they see a celebrity. I know I have some actors that I enjoy their work, seeing the films they've done, but if I seen them on the street would not run over to them and bother them. Honestly, they chose to work in the film industry and it's a job. When they take pictures of stars they make them look great, it's Hollywood...it's all the glam and pizzaz. But honestly I really don't get it.

Damn straight! As for me, i have seen lots of artist but am never to excited! But my friends are usually like all excited and jolly! Am not saying i dislike them just that they are ordinary people with lots of cash and they are seen on tv most of the time! Sometimes Tv gets boring for me! i hardly watch em!

Most models are not beautiful personally. They are only beautiful when they have make-up on their faces. Just like what you have mentioned, moost of those models have undergo beauty and surgical enhancements. Some women are convinced to do the same thing like what those models are doing. Others also purchase very expensive make-ups and cosmetics even if they can't really afford it. In my country, some models are endorsing skin whitening products since Asian skin is brown or tan. Most women don't know the side effects of such surgery and skin treatments, whitening products...most consumers have ended up in regret as I have seen on TV. I never use skin whitening products in my life. True beauty is within ourselves and nobody can take it away from you. My bf doesn't like me putting on light make-up on my face since he said that I am already beautiful and I think he's right.

Yes you are correct. The people who actually are close to us do not care for beauty or the color of the skin. They are more concerned about the inner beauty, which is much more important than the outer beauty. Yes in India also young girls run after these beauty products thinking that it will change their skin color. But these kind of products have bad effects on the skin in the long run. They destroy the skin. Most of the models do not use these products themselves. They endorse these products only for money.

hi vickie I have seen photos of some movie stars who to me were gorgeous and in these they had no makeup and I]was shocked at how ordinary and not very attractive they seemed. I think that we should show these ladies just' as they are without makeup and let ourselves get used to' these beauties being gasp just like us, gasp again.there is nothing wrong with a little makeup used wisely but 'airbrushing all the human aspects of these women's faces' away is wrong. we lead kids to think that in order to be p retty they have to wear a ton of makeup and all look 'like Kidman or JuliA Roberts or other madeup celebs, why not let kids know they are already pretty, young fresh faces flawless and eager to learn, they are pretty.

Yes actually the natural face is most beautiful. If we take good care of our skin there will automatically be a glow in the skin which no beauty product can match. These beauty products actually destroy the skin also which is bad.

let's face it. some people are naturally pretty and do not need a dot of makeup but most people are not so lucky. the baics for being a model are that you have to have a great figure and then they can fix the facial imperfections with makeup. makeup can do wonders. no one looks better without makeup than they do with makeup. it just enhances the natural beauty of the features we already have and helps to cover up some of the not so good ones.

Even I agree with you that to some extent make up is good to enhance beauty. But the problem arises when the photographs of these models are edited and changed so as to make them look more beautiful. This is done to increase the sale of the products these models are selling. But this is not ethical in my view as this way we present the beauty which can not been created only by make-up. The teens fall for this and they sometimes spoil themselves in order to look as beautiful as these computer generated models.

This is what technology and make up do. They make believe others that they are really beautiful which in fact they hiding their true appearance in putting make ups. They try to delay aging by cosmetic surgeries. Sometimes the beautiful models that we saw in the cover of the magazines can be retouch and make them look perfect because of the computer editing.

I don’t think it’s correct to use technology to make made-beauty. It will mislead public about beauty. I also watched a program about the behind secret of the beauty of celebrity. They covered or hid the fat part of one model and made the model looking very slim on pictures. When people saw it they thought they can be as slim as the model if they took the medicine or food the model has had. But the truth is the model is not as slim as she looked at the picture. Also she never took the medicine. I think we accept a reasonable make up but the industry should have a limit or baseline for doing it. Happy Mylotting.

Yes some make-up is necessary as this is required for a woman to look beautiful. But when it is used beyond certain limit such that it is used to cheat other people then it is not good. It should not be used to fool people into buying the products.

I think the most beautiful woman is when they in nature appeareance. But now, the showbiz world has push the artists to make better look, so they use some cosmetics, even in the outside, it look beautiful, but i can be look more beautiful when they never use it.

I don't think it's okay. We were all created equally but distinct in our physical make up. Imagine what teenage girls are thinking when they see these models on/in magazines! It is very depressing to hear that some teens resort to getting plastic surgery to "feel" beautiful because their "favorite celebrity" did it! I love looking at photos of celebrities/models without make up! In this department, less is more:)

Yes these celebrities sometimes make the teenagers go in wrong direction. Like you said that the teenagers want to do plastic surgery as their favourite celebrity did it. All these kind of things enahnce the beauty for sometime but it has many bad effects afterwards. This the teenagers do not understand.

I dont think the models are truely beautiful outside...the makeup and the photographic technique makes them look beautiful..and there are models who are beautiful too...but not everyone of them
