Movies that animals die in-can you watch them?

I don't know why, but I cannot bring myself to watching movies where innocent animals die. It's particularily difficult watching dogs die. I've started to watch Old Yeller, Turner and Hootch, and that newer movie Marley & Me. I had no clue the dog was going to die. When it got close to the end and I started wondering if it was going to die, my son who had seen the movie told me yes, I immediately shut it off. Am I alone out there or just crazy? It just really bothers me to see a dog die. It's sad.

Oh you are exactly like me and my sister, we both don't liek to watch those movies... we would avoid even reading the story. My sister and I are both big animal lovers especially dogs and cats, we always hate to see they injure in the movie even though we know it is not real, it is just sad to see animal get injured :-(

It would be unusual if seeing a dog die WASN'T bothersome to you. I cry every time I see an animal get hurt or die in movies. It's just plain SAD. It shows that we have compassion. (P.S. Thank you for spoiling Marley & Me for me. lol.)
