Problem with graphics or pictures in Ms Word 2003

Guyz, i have this peculiar problem. Whenever i open a word file with a pictures in it, the pictures are not displayed. Instead lots of horizontal strips appears on the screen of my Pc. Googled my problem but couldn't get a clear answer. Can any of you guys help?

try to check your video settings and make sure to download a good or compatible driver

yeah i have download the latest driver available on the net but i still have the problem. Thanks, i'll try to search for latest drivers again and lol maybe try to fiddle around with the settings..though i don't understand the terms of graphics.. antialiasing, anisotrophic filtering and the likes. :(

is it only coming when you open microsoft word or all over the screen?

It only in Microsoft word. But when i open the Nvdia control dialog the stripes occurs again and here...the stripes seems to stick to the monitor until i refresh.
