Hello guys, I've just experienced a total disconnection on my internet last Wednesday before lunch, i thought it was just my connection or my ISP. I just leave my connection like that for 1 day. the next day I am connected but with a super-duper slow connection, I just wondered why, when I reached the Yahoo Homepage, I've read their headlines about the slow connection in Asian countries, that explains my problem on my internet connection. Just wondering why we are affected with the disruption... It's an underwater cable that is affected, but how come it is affected with the typhoon, that it is deep under the sea.... Oh well at least I'm connected now...

Actually, we are really affected with that even it's an underwater cable problem. In fact, details are explained in a breaking news from inquirer.net. Here's the link - http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/infotech/view/20090812-219968/Smart-reports-broadband-SMS-disruption. Hope this makes sense...

I've read the news about those fiber cuts, but still they don't know what caused those cuts on the undersea cables... Glad that they restored it quickly though....

hehe I am also curios about the cause, it might be cut again in the future, we should know what caused it so that we can prevent those that caused the cut... and I'll be surfing the net unlimited with no hassles... LOL

Yeah, I'm also wondering how the underwater fiber-optic cable got disrupted somehow by the typhoons in many Asian countries. This is very weird as it shouldn't be affected at all.

yah, and I think those cables are specially design to stand typhoons and other natural calamities, even how strong the waves are, those under undersea cables should not be budged, wondering how it is disrupted....
