Would you help an accident victim?

Stranger things have happened and I have this question to ask. If you were driving on the highway and see an accident, with a victim lying in a pool of blood, would you stop and help him/her to a hospital or call for an ambulance?

I would probably call an ambulance, as I wouldn't want to move someone who has severe trauma as they may end up with more severe trauma by being moved.

But would you really stop to see if the person has severe trauma, and if you did, wouldn't instinct tell you to help the victim in some way?

ALOT of traumas, especially internal bleeding and head/brain/spine injuries cannot be seen, but yes I would stop to check on and help the person as much as I could.

That's a very thing to do, though paramedics do say that its best not to disturb an accident victim as it could further aggrevate the condition if not handled properly.

I would call 911 while I am pulling over and would then go to the injured person to do what I could. I do know better than to move him/her unless it's absolutely necessary for safety but that doesn't mean that I can't make an attempt to stop/slow down bleeding and give comfort to the injured person.
