I've read many books and it's hard to pick a number #1. The most recent that stood out was, Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. He's a great writer and the book was captivating. It really touched me more that any novel has in a long time! It's 1000 pages and there are no idle paces, it's the kind you don't want to stop and rest! I'd put this on my top 5 books, I'm 61 yrs. old and have a lot of books under my belt so don't take this lightly! tdemex

I read this one too and loved it! It took me a while to read and I am a fast reader. I just read the sequel World Without End and it was really good too! It is in the same town with different characters, as it is written later in time. It is a really, really good read too!

That is a hard question to answer since I tend to have so many favorite novels in which I consider favorites. One of my all time favorites is actually a book that have just finished in the last month. That book was by one of my favorite authors, Christine Feehan and the book was called Hidden Currents. Hidden Currents is part of a seven book series called the Drake Sisters. The Drakes are sisters who are magically inclined and use the elements and whatever is around them to help others when they are needed. Hidden Currents was about the seventh sister, Elle Drake, and her love, Jackson, who helps her through some troubling times. I just enjoyed reading this series and was saddened when I finished the book. I am a fan of paranormal romance and this series grabbed me like no other.

The best novel I have read right now is the Time Traveler's Wife. I can actually see why this one ended up on the Best Seller list. Most books that are there I don't see it. Although, of course, because I'm a writer I someday want to end up on it. Most of the books the American public buys are just a bunch of crap and not actual literature but this book is different.

there are two... Jack and Jill - James Patterson Veronika Decides to Die - Paulo Coelho Bothe are from diff genres, but the best part abt them is that they are meant for sharp minds.. made by sharp minds... i think paulo has described the madness in the best form ever... he has told us wat life can do... and wat we do... while james' book was a thriller.. abt psychopath killers.. he really does know how to create mystery... the sequel to this book is Pop goes the weasel... which equally gud... but since i read the 'jack and jill' first...

Peace like a River, by Leif Enger. It's beautifully written, that guy is really talented. The characters are complex and relatable, and he plays on our own inner fantasies about faith and family, about adventure and life! I have yet to read anything that has come close to the way this book made me feel.

The best novel that I have read is THE CONSPIRACY by Sydney Sheldon. It is full of twist and turns and I really get hooked to it. He is now my favorite author.

My favourite book would have to be Patriot Games by Tom Clancy, I am not sayin gthat it is the best book ever written but is interesting throughout and as such I have read it at least a dozen times in the last ten years.

The Bible is probably the best book I have read. Not because it is a religious book. But because of it's practical teachings which can be applied to relationships or business. Basically the laws of modern government and western civilization is based on this book.

One of my favorite novels of all time is Tuesdays with Morrie. That book just has such a great message. I've read it several times and well I enjoy it over and over again. I definitely recommend this book to everyone! It's a short read too - it will grab your interest and you can easily finish it in one sitting if you have the time.

"Phantom" by Susan Kay. "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" by Robert Fulghum. "The Only Alien on the Planet" by Kristen D. Randle. "The Only Alien on the Planet" is geared for a teen audience, but it is VERY well written and I highly recommend it to anyone who is desiring to learn more about the human condition, mind control, and child abuse.

The besty book i ever read was House of Sand and Fog, I loved it more for the characters than for the story. I could really connect with everyone in the book and there didn't seem to be a true hero.

hey there. I love to read and really should take more time to do so. I have a few books that I go back to. Veronica Decides to Die by Paulo Coehlo is one of my favourites. It makes you stop and think about your own life and mortality. He writes some amazing stories that are magical and also make you stop and think.

hi,i`m judy, now i`m reading "thick face black heart",it is totally different from all the book that i have read till now, almost all the book published legally to tell people do good things, use a true heart to make friends,to devote, but in this book,it teach people to use mask,to find the dark aspect in human beings.i think it is irony.
