There is no space for search. I tried to search under Mylot, but nothing was coming under my search.
Then I search under discussion, same result. I was searching for “beach”.
After 10 minutes of search I found what I was looking for.
No wonder we have so many doubled interests.
Have you ever search for Interest under search?
And, how many time should I say NO for specific Interest when is asking me to join?

Quite often, using MyLot search turns up nothing. One of the few discussions I started was asking if people knew what was in their drinking water, after i saw a news article on the possibility of trace pharmaceutical medications in tap water that usually don't get filtered out even when using one of those filters. I did a search that turned up nothing, & after i started the discussion, there was a similar discussion that pretty much said the same thing I said that turned up.
It seems to like asking us to join a specific interest until we actually join it. many have complained about having to answer "NO" each time they respond or comment on a discussion in that interest.

....but if you want to start new Interest, how do you search?....my search end up with nothing....

I know. The light at the end of the tunnel that makes the Mylot search work properly is broken. We need someone to crawl down to the end of that tunnel & fix it.
Uh - until someone DOES fix it ... If you go to your interests & add it to your interests, & it is properly spelled by you AND be whoever added the existing interest, you'll find it when you find yourself added to it.

                    Hi Pola!
I've not given a try to search 'interests' under mylot 'search' options. Once or twice I tried to search discussion on some particular topic, could not succeed much. However, I searched for some users, with their log in name, who are my friends on other sites, and I could find their names/posts/discussions.

                            Hi Pola!
Once I did and I succeeded, I can recall or may be I was taken to the page where that particular user responded/started a discussion, somehow I could locate her discussion and I wanted to add her and I did that.

I have noticed a lot of overlapping or similar interests which get lumped together. It at least to me is a bit annoying.

I have not done a any new searches for my intrest. I could alwasy join a group latter if I wanted to and do the search. I usslay answer no when it ask if I want to join a group that relates to a posted resposed from one of my friends here. I think I have enough intrest caiigories for now.

OH MY GOODNESS, I KNOW! I rarely ever start topics because I can never find the interest that it involves, UGH! I post regularly in certain interests like mother, parenting, children, and toddler, and I can't even find them on there! I DEFINITELY think they need to add a search on there, or change the interests so that you can put CERTAIN interests at the top or something, at least that would be a start to finding the ones you use the most. But yeah I understand what you mean, I hate starting discussions because I can never find the interest it involves. Ugh.

It would be good to be able to search our interest. But unless someone tagged it as beach then probably take awhile to find it. I don't always join the interst which I answer some discussions. Some of the interest is just to wild for me.

Hi pola, recently, before starting discussions I have been searching key words to see if a similar one already exists. Then, when I have been sure there was nothing close to my subject, I would start my discussions. However, then after posting my discussion, I would see similar ones come up on the screen, and I find, there have been similar ones previously. This is probably a fault with the critea of the search engine, but I don't know. I find this almost as frustrating as all the simple one line questions that are repeated over and over, and still attract stacks of responses. I think this area needs addressing.

I say NO to most things I'm asked to join, I have no interest in them. Cats? Love 'em, but I'm allergic so I have no interest. Things like that. And I've said no so often on the same things!
The search engine here is useless. I'll look for a discussion I want to start because I don't want to steal someone's thunder and I'll get no hits. So I start it then when it's done, I see one or more of the SAME thing under mine!! How mortifying!

you are right, search here is not working properly, hard to find by key words....
