Discussion only my friends can see, not categorised in any interest ! how ?

Well i posted a recent discussion and i actually remember it posting it on the question and answers section, but it now seems to have not been categorized into that interest, i dunno how it happened, does anybody have an info of what just happened, coz there might have been a small mistake somewhere, i just want to know, help plz, anything in regard appreciated, thanks.

if it's the one about the loud voice on the phone then it is not in any specific intret and that is why it seems that no-one can see it.
Go back and comment on the rsponses and getting it moving then it might appear in the hot topics and be seen by more users.
This is why I always suggest, when you start a new discussion, to start it in the interest rather than at the top of the page 'new discussion'.

You can try adding tags to your discussion and see if that works.I am not sure,but you can give it a try.

yes mysdianait it is that discussion . . . you are right i must do that now on going to the interest and starting a new discussion, thanks mysdianait, hmm lets see if can get it to hot discussions, i don't really have a lot of friends to thrust my discussion though, neways i will be more careful next time...

Hi there mysd,
Just wanted to say thanks for your excellent advice and most helpful suggestion. Glad I saw this post of yours. Because I too, learned something by reading it.
About four weeks ago I also started a discussion and "thought" I might have had a few more responses to it than the only one I received. (From some kind soul, possibly during the middle of the night.) Even though I did respond to his reply, no one else probably even saw my discussion, or maybe just didn't care to reply. But that's because I made the mistake of placing it under the new/general category. Plus, I think if we can't really be sure of what category/interest to start our topic in, then perhaps the questions& answers section might be another good place. What do you think?

i don't think that's possible here on myLot......
becuase there's a search box on top where you can search for topics you want
...plus on the home page discussions are displayed
...they do not offer options to filter who can see your posts

it's not that anyone cannot see my discussion, it is just they need to go through my profile to have a look at it, it is not categorized under any interest in particular hence isn't visible in any of the interests, have a look at my discussion "loud on phone" and see it isn't there in any interests . . . . that's why i was confused.

There must be some kind of mistake.You can always start a general discussion which won't be related to any topic.But you are saying you posted in the question and answer section so it must show under that interest.I don't think i can help you more on this.his doesn't makes any sense actually.

actually i had opened it up in two different tabs, i don't know if that is the problem or something else, neways i will be more careful next time and thanks suparnodatta, yeah i will try puttin in some more tags to see if i get more replies... anyhow no worries, i will get to learn more from it..
