In countries such as Lran and China,access to information is tightly controlled Newspaers and television stations have traditionally been state-run,toeing the party line,but the internet age has made it much more difficult for goverments to ensure citizens are not exposed to controversial or contradictory information,or news from other countries that may inflame the anger or sensibilities of the populous.
