If you had a very large house and lots of disposable income, how large an aquarium woud you buy/built and what kind of animals would you keep in it?them?
I woudl like one day to have an aquarium (of course this is only in my dreams now) that would cover three walls of a room plus a wing so that from the top it would look like a Big "E". I would have mostly South and Central American fish that would get along as swell as be heavily planted. What about you? To clean the glass woud require going into the tank and working from inside.

i am totally against in terms of keeping animals or birds in cages. they are best in their open world where no bounds are there. I feel very sorry for the birds especially as they are kept in cages in many houses. And now aquariums are also increasing in houses where the fishes are kept as jailers and not much place is there for them to enjoy a relaxed open life where they can go anytime and anywhere they want.

So it is better to keep them in the wild where they are being polluted and having their homes destroyed in the name of progress? There are many animals that are only found in captivity and people are waiting until their inhabitants are cleaned up before they release some back into the wild to hopefully increase in numbers . Many hobbyist have the only remaining animals of a species and if you destroy them yo will make these animals extince for all time. Is this what you want. By studying animals in captivity , people can find out what the animals need in the wild and can hopefully find places where these endangered animals can survive in the wild without causing more harm to the environment. In other cased where an animals has been causing harm to the environment, they can find ways to restrict these damages or to eradicate the offending animals which they would have a hard time doing in the wild.

it isnt the same case every where, many places the animals are taken care very effectively. and they are getting their natural envoirnment, what else do the animals opt for. we are also animals and dont want ourselves to keep in jails or cages, same is the case of animals. we are superior but we cant do harm or cage animals for our happiness.

That depends, can i hire someone else to take care of it? lol. I've always thought it would be cool to have one that took up an entire wall. Or one that was the wall and separated two rooms. I would love to have both salt and fresh water tanks so that I can get the different fish. I love any bright colorful fish.

I would like to have fish tanks incorporated into my walls, and each fish tank would include species from different parts of the world. One tank could include fish from Asia, another from Central and South America, etc. It would look pretty cool.
