Are You Unknowingly Doing Cocaine???

http://www.wyff4.com/money/20447947/detail.html Tests have shown that there are traces of cocaine on the money ($1.00-100.00 bills) we handle daily. Since the U.S. Treasury says that it does not come from their process, it is assumed that it comes from people rolling up paper money to toot their coke or that money used in drug deals has recirculated back into the system. The report said the amount of cocaine is so small that we should not worry, yet they felt the need to warn us. Will this change the way you handle your folding cash??? Or will I be catching you hiding & licking your money??? Come on, you can be honest. I promise NOT to judge you on your answer!!! Do you think this will put a new meaning on the words "MONEY LAUNDERING"??? Canadians.....you are included in this report along with the U.S.

Gesh, that isn't good. I know we are suppose to be getting germ's already from the money but now we can get High to? This doesn't sound good, it make's you wonder what else people may be using money for. I alway's thought they cleaned all the money when it went in the bank's I guess not.

This is an interesting article. I don't carry a wallet but instead carry something I made with plastic canvas that holds my credit cards, driver's license and other information. I do fold the money and put in my purse in a different compartment then my credit cards. I won't change the way I handle money. I recently quit my job of almost 8 years where I handled money all the time. Just made certain I washed my hands frequently.

Haha this is kinda funny. I like the title of your post. There is no way to answer yes to the question :-P Because yes means it is not "unknowingly." I saw the news today, and have to admit, I was taken a back a bit. It is pretty strange.

You may answer yes if that is the appropriate response as long as you add more to it. I'm sure out of over 181 thousand members, more than one can respond yes to this discussion!!!

What a relief Lady Marissa, if it's only America and Canada does that mean our money is clean over here? They carry huge wads of Euro notes around round here, because they forget that we aren't using drachmas anymore, and the only thing likely to be on it is dust balls collected from inside their pockets.

Greece is not on the list. As a matter of fact, NO European country is on the list so you may well be safe!!!

No I'm not worried because 98% of the time I use my debit card only. I hardly ever handle money. It makes life a little be easier. Now after reading this and knowing that money is really quite dirty I feel by not handling the money I'm keeping myself a bit more healthy.

Not only do I not have money anymore, but now I am even missing out on all the fun! That is just plain unfair!

I saw that report this morning on the news. They said it isn't enough to be harmful though....

If it's not enough to be harmful, why did they make sure it made it to the news???

I saw this on the news and thought...wow..they are just getting around to letting people know about that? i had known it for years, though i supose they must have just done a new test. And just be forwarned, from studied i read in the past, i woudln't go "licking" the bills hoping to get a little high, as almost all bills also tested positive for feces on them *eww yuck, i know*.....but you have to think...that dollar bill you have in your purse..how many other people have had it in their posession before you? and how many of those people didn't wash their hands after using the restroom....

and how many of those people didn't wash their hands after using the restroom.... I'm always hearing people make this statement. It makes me wonder what they do when they go to the bathroom. I've NEVER played with my pee nor my feces when I use the bathroom. Yes, I wash my hands because I was taught it is necessary.
