Oh yes definatley, there never seems to be enough money. As soon as i get paid money is flying out of my bank account left right and centre. Doesnt help that the odd £10 here and there you dont really notice, but then by the end of the month it all adds up and makes a big dent in your bank balance.

you so right about that one. what i started doing today is writing down every penny i spend. this why i am accountable for where my money goes. and i can see how much of it i am wasting. i have got to stop wasting money on things i don't need. so i hope with writing down my spending, I will learn to spend so much less

it's good you could still afford to waste a little of it...... most of us don't have much to start with, how much more to waste it

I feel that way. I don't spend on things I don't need but by the time bills and such are paid including groceries and cell phone. I feel like all my money is just disappeared. It sucks. But as long as I have a place to live and my bills are paid I try not to get to complain too much.

When I worked and I made a fairly good wage I still couldn't seem to keep that money in my wallet, I think it just disappeared while I wasn't looking or something

then keep your eyes on them fwid! don't take your eyes off it! money must have some tiny legs and runs away when you're not paying attention!

Yes! This is really true with today's down economy. You have so many bills to settle that whatever you earn never seems to be enough. It seems as though the money is on your hands one day, and then the next you are left trying to figure out how you spent it because you have none more left to appropriate for your other financial responsibilities. Which is why sites like mylot are very useful since they provide additional sources of income so you can make both ends meet.

I would really agree with you on that one. It seems as though there is less value to our money nowadays that I often feel guilty when I go to certain restaurants and eat bcuz it would certainly spoil my budget. But I do allow myself these from time to time so that i would be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor.

oh yes we do have to reward ourselves once in a while... we work so hard, we deserve it. can't do that all the time though... it's so hard to find money to spend it that quick!
• Philippines

you know abby... the value of money has gotten so little and little over time. it's buying power had becom less.. we couldn't buy so much with a $10 nowadays... probably a combo meal at Zankou or specialty restaurants... or a piece of a nice blouse... but before, it used to feed the entire family for a whole month.

Yes actually I have a saved money just for emergency. My sister called me yesterday to fetch her because she was not feeling well. When I went to her workplace there I saw her very pale and so cold so we went straight to the hospital, so that she can be checked. The doctor put dextrose to her because she was dehydrated by 10 times vomiting and diarrhea. My saved money slips aways in just one blink. But you know I am not worried. I know how can I get back that money again. Money is just the result. I just have to be smart to get the money back twice. The important is that my sister is now ok. She is more important than money. I am still happy and I am happy.

People usually gets excited when payday is coming. But not me. When it's payday, I never get excited now, why? Because when I get my pay, it only means that the money will slip off my hands. Nothing is left for all of them will go directly to collectors. Personal loan, electric bills, house rent, etc. We almost left with nothing for the house, food and school needs.

By the time we get a pay check and pay bills and get stuff for the house like dish soap, detergent and cleaners for the house. Most of the money is gone or it is gone and you can't do anything little to even have fun with your own family. Look at all the movie stars that make lots of money and how they spend there money on the most expensive things money can buy.
• United States
22 Aug 09
I have never seen the movie stars as the lucky ones because yes they may have the money to do most things with. But greed with there money never helps them make it to heaven any faster. But you are right we work hard to make our money even if we get frustrated with things. But we can say we did it we made it and we are proud of it. Are they really proud?

they're the lucky ones strawb........... i guess we have to make the best of what we have........ it's too frustrating, buT when we Are situations like these It makes us more Determined!

Only the money I spent before I had it, that stuff that didn't have a plan before I got it. A penny saved is a penny earned ya know. Make a plan, then work on it till it works and soon you will not have that problem.

As you ask the Universe, so shall it give back to you. The choice is yours, you may not believe me. But that is the way it is. Been that way since forever. Develop a money consciousness, and BELIEVE that money comes to you easily and in troves, then keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth closed. The opportunities will be there waiting for you to notice them. They are already their, you just haven't noticed them yet.

Hi Pat...for me, I always run out of money before I run out of bills to pay, even though I have cut back drastically, even on the medicines I need to take. I had to give up my health insurance a year ago, as I simply could not afford it any longer. I think many of us will do better when the economy turns around or here in the US, when a decent health care reform is passed. My best of wishes to you. Karen

You're right, its' easier to spend money that to gain in! When I go shopping I notice how easily that money go for a pair of shoes or some clothes! Maybe that's the reason why many people focus on money see money as their goal in life. I try to save half of my money and spend half of it. I will use the save part to invest for my future
