Menu changes....

Am I being melodramatic or do other people feel slightly betrayed when their favorite restaurant takes their favorite entree off the menu? Or worse, completely overhauls the menu and NOTHING looks familiar anymore?
It started with Ruby Tuesday and their corporate honchos deciding to make it a "fine dining" restaurant instead of a sports bar, like it was before. Little by little the things I loved about Ruby Tuesday started disappearing until, now, the only thing I even like anymore is the salad bar....excuse me, Garden Bar.
Then other places started dumping my favorite dishes. Or exchanging fresh brewed iced tea for a pre-bottled variety. And I love food and eating out so all of these changes make me feel a little like they have stabbed me in the back.
Anyone else feel that way or am I alone here?

Ruby Tuesday's lost me when they stopped the bread sticks and honey butter. I do not like it when everything changes at a place. I understand an addition here or there or taking off something that does not sell well, but when the whole place seems to change overnight they lose me.

In fact, you and I have the same feeling. For restauranrs, they should be continually updated, continuous improvement in order to attract more guests. They are popular targets. Therefore, even if I see you like the style was changed otherwise, we must reluctantly accept it. Well, you can try to change thenselves. To adapt to us. Ha ha. I wish you luck. Haapy.

I've had that happen, we went somewhere we hadn't been in a while and they didn't have my favorite, I forgot what it was but I don't eat there anymore. Sometimes you have to ask if they still have it, they might but they are always updating their menus so you'll try new items.
