What was the last lie you told?

I do try and live my life as honestly as possible as I have been lied to before and it is a horrible feeling to be on the receiving end. Sometimes people tell white lies to spare someones feelings but I do think the truth is always the best option. The last time I lied, that I can think of, was when I cancelled a dinner with a friend saying I had a headache. Truth is I just wanted to stay home and relax but thought she wouldnt understand that.
What was the last lie you told? Is the truth always the best option?

Hi, it is difficult
to say when I told lie as everyday I tell a couple of them. It would have been better for you to ask when was the last time I really spoke the truth. lol

just a week ago when my daughter told me to buy her a barbie doll and i was not able to buy it since its so expensive and i dont have enough money to buy, i told her the the barbie doll is not yet finish since the maker is just doing the hair of the barbie doll she likes. She told me how many days the doll maker will finish the hair of the doll and I told her in 2 weeks time it will finish, may be that time I have enough money to buy the barbie she likes.
