Hi myloters. Do you believe in sixth sense or intuition, like it happens with many of us, that somewhere in your mind you know that particular thing is going to happen, but your brain don’t agree with your heart, and that thing happens, and later on you think that you should have gone with your heart’s advice. It happened to me many times, how about you all. Share your experiences.

I believe in intuition, sixth sense and, may I add, telepathy? Too many times something happens and I just knew it was about to happen or I say something and the friend with me says the samething at exactly the sametime. I also have a an online friend who suddenly appears online just when I was about to send them a mail. This has happened too many times just to be a coincidence and it is sixth sense on both sides in my opinio. How could they possibly know every time that I was thinking about them unless it was sixth sense?

Yes mysdianait, telepathy is also one of the things which is similar to intuitions or sixth sense. Well in your example I feel, it is the something special you share with your friends , that whenever you think of them, they come to know and are online to be with you.

That is also possible, it can work vice-versa. That means you share very strong relations with your friends.

you are right.life is real-life,we don't know what will happen in the next minute.sometimes we are ambivalent and we don't know how to deal with ,the best way is to follow your inner voice.

Yes thats right to follow your voice of mind, but I will suggest that also try to be practical at sometimes, because this things are not 100% accurate always,just my view.

yes ashish it happens to me many times...like we are warned by God or our heart that such thing is going to happen and it really happens..this maybe the part of some science or astrology but it happens....many times the happenings are co-related to dreams also...the same thing we see in a dream and it comes true, though we forget the dream ..after the thing really happens we remeber that ues...i saw this in my dream.....there is one good film based on this topic, starring madhuri dixit in it..i don't remember the name exactly, but it was a good film

Hi Eshaan, you are right, that many things are not in our control where we can think of some logic behind then, but it happens with every one of us. The film you are talking about is "100 Days", there are many such other movies as well. Thanks for sharing your views.

While I don't think I have enough english words to explain, I still must say: intuition have nothing to do with "hearth". Sure, when I say hearth I don't mean that thing pumping the blood :-P As I perceive, intuition is just another human sense - and I won't bet my money is strictly a human "feature". Is very much related to sub-conscience and probably this is why people think about it as a "very special gift". Is not. Everybody have it, more or less developed, more or less trustfull (mean the one don't trust in his own abilities) and is more or less trainable - but the fact it is seen as being in "belive in ghost", "belive in UFO" and so on category, instead to better understand and use, most people diminish it ...

Well, at some point of time you are right, but in general words we just differentiate it like what your brains tells is practical and logical and what your heart says may or may not be logical or practical, but still can be true.

I think we may start a debate about this, no use for talking semantics, let's make it simple :-) and point to the conclusion directly: "brain", you mean the conscious; "hearth", you mean the subconscious and/or unconscious. Logics belong to conscious, like also the "regular" or "common" 5 senses. Intuition, love (and feelings in general), visions (ability to see future or past), telepathy and so on - those belong to (sub + un)conscious. Humans have 2 big problems: we are often in situations where conscious can not find logic in events and this is a big obstacle in progress or understanding certain things; we are not in the mood (and that started from stone age) to easyly accept chnages into what is allready fixed (thru education processes) in conscious. Mark Twain said once something like" what great we would be and what big and astonishing things human would do if wouldn't be limited from child ages by education. "Education" does not ref to moral, respect toward nature and fellow humans and so on, but related to same "education" which prevent people hunderths of years to accept Earth is round ...

Let's say that yes I would like to believe in it. There have been experiences that seem to me to be intuitive. They occur disjointed from the flow. But I suspect that sometimes what we call intuition is just the unconscious mind calculating away and coming to logical conclusions that the conscious mind can't deal with. Because the conscious mind can't make the connection, we think it intutive. But it would be nice to believe that there is someone occasionally giving a poke in my mental ribs and pointing the direction either this way or that. ENJOY!

Hi, I also agree with you that there might be chances of unconscious mind in calculating the stuff and giving the hint for something, but still there are many times the situations which you can't relate to any sub conscious mind or anyother logical thing. So sometimes it is true and sometimes it is not.

hey bab.. im hundred percent sure that each one born in this world would have experienced the feeling of intuition. well my experience is while driving my bike i had escaped accidents with the sixth sense or intuitions or may be god grace. but definitely the power of our mind and heart. Oncesomething said in heart that near future bad is going to happen and in time i take to decision to stop for a while and then drove my bike and the bad happened that a guy who crossed me with high speed met with accident in front of me.

Yes agree with you that each one of us have experienced this. Really nice to know about your experience that you believed in yourself that time and got saved. Most of the times we just take this as a good luck, but sometimes it is intuitions as well.

Yes, I do believe in intuition and I kind of believe in sixth sense although I have never experienced this for myself! I think that we use intuition everyday sometimes unaware that we are using it. Lots of people refer to it as that famous gut feeling that you get when you are about to do something or you are unsure of something. I think they say you should always listen to your gut instincts as it's generally always right! I would love to work on this talent and I think that there are a lot of exercises that you can do in order to nurture your intuition! Andrew

Yes perfect word "gut feeling" which we use most of the times. But many times these gut feelings are not logical or you don't have explanation why you have that, but it is right most of the times. I wish you best luck that you work on this and if you succeed then help all of us with your gut feeling.

Hi Babshish, I really believe in sixth sense. Most of the time, when I put an alrm in my mobile to wake up early in the morning then I always use to wake up 5 minutes before the alarm. I always think that why the hell I put the alarm. That was a sixth sense, wasn't that?
@babshish (1387)

20 Aug 09
Well sanuanu, I think it is not sixth sense or intution but this is somewhere in your sub-conscience that you have to wake up early and you get up before the alarm rings..

Hi babshish..Honestly I believe in intuition or sixth sense but maybe not to oracle or paranormal.I belive to saint or person who clean of immoral and cloose to god.I believe in a feeling from mother to her children.But it's not wrong that you have the sixth sense but I suggest you to use it in good way and don't let your self too deep in that world.

Yes agree with you, I also believe in that, to be practical and take decisions accordingly. But sometimes logical things don't work and so called intuitions comes true. So depend on situations.

Yes, I see things trough my dreams and most of all are bad. I dreamt of someone close to me met an accident and one day, late at night I received a call informing me that she was in the hospital and had an accident. Exactly as what i saw in my dream. I tried also warning some people but they didn't listen. this kind of gift was gone since I prayed and ignore all the warnings.

Thats strange that you always dream of bad things, but I guess you could have been helpful to others if they have listened to you. But well nice to know about your experience.

I believe every man is empowered by God with sixth senses. Somehow, we forget how to use them properly because of lack connection with the creator and we are busy with ourselves.
@babshish (1387)

Yes every man has that, but we don't use it to fullest. Like a blind man uses his other senses more powerfully than a normal man. So it depends on individuals how they develop the senses and make use of it to the fullest.

there are instances that somewhere in our mind we think that this is going to happen and in some ways it actually happened... well for me i believe in intuitions but only to the point that my body believes it will happen... some are just assumptions and they never happen... probably it's just depending on circumstances!

wel, your question reminds me of the movie called FInal Destination, which talks about somthing similar with intutions.I have not experienced the thing like that.But sometimes when i play cards with my friends, and i often have the 6th sense that i will lose the game at that time. ALthough i did not believe, it turns out that my intution is correct.There are really magical things in our daily life.

It has been experienced by lots of people around the world. Internet is full of testimonials related to this. However, when it comes to checking it scientifically, it can not stand still and fall flat. The major reason is non-repeatability, if one is saying that he has the power of sixth sense then he may have experienced something like this but no way he or she can be right every time. So, psychologists world over discards the existence of sixth sense or what they call psi. As for intuition, i think it is altogether a different matter with different orientation..Certainly, as the straight meaning of it says, it is there in almost every human being..

Yes scientifically you cannot prove, but there are many thing in the world which are yet out of scope of science and this is one of them. And as this is not scientifically proved, is one of the reason we most of the time overlook this intutions. But still I feel that there is something which is in all of us and which comes out when the time comes.

Hi,babshish.I do believe in intuitions and sixth sense.Something cannot explain by science in the world,I think that is intuitions .Many people have the feeling for what will happen in the future.Even someone can predict it.It is so mysterious that few people could explain. I heard about these things when I was little.
@babshish (1387)

Yes, many things are there which are out of scope of science as of now. May be in future we may have something which will prove this, not sure though. Also you are right that many people can explain this, but majority will not take this and just tell that it might be a co-incidence.

I believe in the fact, that a human only uses about 10% of his brain, therefore using another percent might open up unknown powers to us - not stating here, that it might give us a "spider sense" or "steel skin". No, nothing alike, but maybe by increasing our reaction times by a large chunk, might make us more aware of the situations surrounding us, therefore giving us that special advantage over others. Telekinesis, for all I know, is possible, with the right biological genetics or differences. But then again - I might be a wee bit mental
@babshish (1387)

20 Aug 09
Yes agree with you that we are just using some percent of our brain, but not exact figures and if we are able to use it 100% then definitely things will change drastically for us.

For sure i do, i use my sixth sense everyday on my drive into work. I just manage to get there without even thinking about it. Or maybe that's just 20 years of driving at the same place? Seriously though, i depend on my 'spidey senses' but also i find that by living day by day, i tend to do the right thing all the time eventhough the odds seem to be against me sometimes.

I absolutely believe in sixth sense. I also believe persons with an attuned sense will find similar persons. I have an uncanny ability of avoiding dangerous situations by reading my inner sense. This was not the case before and it cost me. I think all of us have the ability, but you also need the belief.

Thats very good to hear that you have ability of avoiding dangerous situations. And you are right that all of us have the ability, its just that some people discover it at the right time and take the decisions and some can't.
