Hello my friends, How are you today, Just fine I hope. Well as many of you that have been following me for any length of time, have probably began to notice that my discussions and articles just seem to keep getting longer and longer. I really don't know what to attribute this to, other than the fact that I must have a serious love for writing. I've even began to notice improvements in my earnings, just over the past couple of days. No doubt it's due to me writing longer messages, comments, discussions, etc. So I"m sharing this with you so that you can try it and see if your earnings begin to go up to. So tell me now, what exactly does writing mean to you. I mean can you describe it in your own best words what you think that your life might be like if you didn't have writings as a way of expressing yourself? Thank you very much for your responses. Have a great day mylotting everyone.

Writing actually means something similar to me as it does to Voldrox, though I have to add that it is also a way for me to create another world. The first ways I got into writing was through stories, and then later with the advent of personal Internet use I started to take part in online Roleplaying games. At that stage writing became a way for me to live in other words with like-minded people, and to connect (because talking about real life things isn't one of my strong points, so I largely do it through fantasy!) Even with this love of creation, writing and own words, I am not usually able to actually write stories though because I have focus issues, but again like Voldrox I do use writing to keep a record of my life which I can read years down the line to see the changes. So I guess for me writing means a way to connect with people (I don't do that in reality), it is a way to imagine a better words, and finally it is a way to chart the changes in my life, and learn from past mistakes. Nice question, Dranz PS: Writing now also happens to mean the burning of a fish finger since I am doing this while cooking dinner...or I was until I burnt the food at least lol!

Thanks for your comment DCLehnsherr. I would love to hear more about some of your role playing activities. It sounded kind of interesting. Also I can understand what you mean when you say that you may have a little trouble trying to connect to those in the real world but in fantasy you can live certain things out. Oh well, you just keep on writing those stories my friend. I'm sure that somebody is going to want to read about them someday, including myself. Then you can connect with the people in the real world at your book signings. God bless you and may you continue to get better and better at writing. Also I hope your fish finger hurry up and heal. ( Tip of the day 4 ya) Did you know that aloe vera was a good way to put a stop to those burns?

Whoops, I think I confused you a little lol Fish fingers are food. There are chunks of cod (in my case anyway, you can have salmon and haddock too I think) covered in breadcrumbs. You cook them under the grill or in the oven and they can be eaten either in a sandwich or as part of a main meal. Mine are always part of a very tasty sandwich with cheese :) Away from that the Roleplaying games I did were set in the world of anime (because I am quite a big anime fan) and are where you either create a role for yourself which you act out in the world of the anime (or show of your choice). Or you take characters from that world, and put them in situations created by yourself. My favourite ones were always where I was in the worlds and existing there. It was amazing. I spent a good 4 years maybe doing that even creating my own site because I didn't think the rest were good enough lol! It all had to end though because of studying, and so I deleted the sites. It was still the best few years of my on-line time though, amazing fun :) As for the stories, I would get told of for plagiarism if I published those I had finished, like the RPG's they are set in other people's worlds lol! I would like to do free standing works but I just don't sit long enough to manage it. I can type in places like this quite happily, but if I am writing for myself, or for a story my brain won't engage. Or even worse, it carries the story on when I am out and about so I lose the will to continue it at home as the best parts have already been written, just not on paper lol! I wish you luck with your future masterpieces though, and many thanks for the best wishes on mine, should I ever get famous I shall mention you somewhere lol! All the best, Dranz

I love writing as well.. It gives me a pure elixir whenever I could release myself through poems or writings.. Congratulations on the fact that you have seen a bit of rise to your earnings; that's just so cool. You enjoying writing, and at the same time, being rewarded for your contributions. I started writing way young and those were the times that blogging wasn't around yet. I was depressed one fine day and I scribbled some words into a ball. Then I started to create phrases to depict my feelings. And finally, sentences to make into my own journal or some sort. The rest is history.. Here's one for the love of writing..

It's alright, my friend.. no worries about it.. As for your concerns, I do understand ultimately too. It is sometimes inevitable because there are slower days and active days. And sometimes a decrease means an increase the next day and etc.. just keep on being active.. But you are right; if not, we'll still be here.. Thanks for reading about my writing ranting, LOL.. you have a good rest, yeah..

Thank you very much Zed_k4, for all that you've said here. Your comment was great and highly appreciated. You have to forgive me for not being my usual outgoing self. Normally you can get a feeling about a person through their writing and well long story short, I'm feeling a wee bit tired right now but i"m going to try to keep on mylotting for a while still. Anyhow, that was so sweet how you mentioned that you scribbled a few words down into a ball back when you were younger. Then you happened to create phases. And pretty much from there the rest was history. So hey, all that I can say to that is keep up the great work! PS: Well I did happen to notice a increase in my earnings the other day but now it's back down and not showing me anything outside of the norm, so hopefully in a day or two it will be coming back up. I would love to see that happen. But even if it doesn't. I'm here at mylot for what it's worth. I enjoy the people here and I'm learning alot. My writing is even improving and I am beginning to see greater things down the road of life. My world has truly opened up since I've been a part of this mylotting experience. Thanks for being a part of it and for coming by to show some support. May God bless you...........

The love of writing, MY love of writing...There are two passions in my life, one if them is the love of the written word and the other is the love of all animals. These have been apparent since childhood. My year five teacher in Italy gave me a book as a going away gift when I left for Australia where I live now. Her present consisted of a book; a children’s novel about a newspaper reported who could communicate with all animals; she would travel the world interviewing them and writing their stories. My teacher knew me better than I knew myself back then! My writing was on the back burner for many years while I got on with life but you know what? I wasn’t really living because writing to me is like breathing, besides I think there is a good chance my head will explode if I stop writing!

Hello Paula, Let me just take this opportunity to personally inform you that you've written a great comment. You've given me just a little background about your writing and your interest. You told me also how your teacher was an amazing influence in your life. Not to mention how she knew you at that time better than you even knew yourself. Paying honor to teachers at this moment. The great ones can really make a difference in a child's life. So keep on writing my friend because your teacher did a wonderful thing. She gave you some direction and i know she haven't lead you wrong. Happy mylot and thanks for sharing. Come back again!

I've always loved to write; even before 'forums' became a hit. But now, I write everywhere. Forums are a great way to express yourself and the good thing is that THERE HAS TO BE something that you are interested on. Writing lets me express myself and share my knowledge with others. I can't even imagine how it would be like for me not to be able to write. I can never seem to be able to explain myself verbally, yet in writing I seem to get the point across. I choose it as my best way of expression and would love to learn and improve my writing skills.

I absolutely love you answer my friend. Right before I read it I was thinking to myself. A person who loves writing should be thinking, I was born for this. Well I don't know if I were born for it or not at this point. But i do happen to know that I love it. And I'm mighty blessed and happy to have found so many other mylotters right here such as yourself that love it too. You've convinced me my friend. May I take this opportunity to pay you the sincere compliment by saying that I believe you were born for this?Keep writing because everything that you said, was 110 percent trueHappy mylot!

I think that writing has made me a better person than I am years ago. Even if it's just writing on MyLot. I find it to be very relieving to express myself. It makes us think, not just about ourselves but about others as well and about the things around us and how it affects us and everyone in it. If I didn't turn to writing I know I'd be really over the edge with no outlet and it's really all good. Very refreshing and in so doing sharing things here on MyLot has opened my eyes to the goodness around us. Yeah of course there are the baddies too but I see those everyday and I live with that so that's a very common thing around me. Lolz.

Hello Wolveren, may God bless you my friend. You have written something that has really touched my heart. Please don't make me cry. But do you know that when you are able to write something down, on a piece of paper or a book. Then it's so powerful that it bring a person to tears. Oh my word wolveren, you've really done something profound. I really can't even say anything more because you've just said it all. So keep writing my friend because I know that you have got at least a few books inside of you that needs to come out. You just keep praying, practicing and seeking answers, for your life. For your writing. For which way to turn. God will reveal to you every single step in which you are to take......... The bible says, lean not to your own understanding, but in all of your ways, acknowledge God and he will direct your paths. Be at peace my friend. God has greater things in store for you. Take care CC!

Writing, to me, means sharing my thoughts with others. It means making friends from around the world. It means telling others about my life and experiences. I don't know if I could make up any stories or not. I can write about things that have really happened, though. Kathy.

Hello my dear friend Kathy, Thanks for coming back through to see me once again. You've written a nice comment here and I just thought I'd let you know. I personally think that you could write a short story, all you need to do is sit down and get started on it, just let you mind go free. Try to think about something that you would like to see happen in your life, or something that has already happened. I wrote a short story just this morning. Perhaps I will share it with everyone soon. Writing really allow us to be able to go beyond the judgments of others, I think that's what I find that's so fascinating about it. Stay in touch friend and be sure to let me know once you get those stories outside of your head and onto the pag.

Thank you for sharing your comments and opinions here my friend. I am very grateful to you for that. I would love to get to know you better so that we can explore more on this topic. Please add me as a friend. I think it was a fascinating idea of you to write down those things about your life in a diary. Now you have a written log of what all that's been taking place in your life. I used to do the same thing from time to time but it was never on a consistent basis. I find a lot of freedom in writing because no one can try to tell me that I should shut my mouth. As in real life, someone might try to tell us this quick if we sing to loud or talk too much. But in writing we are free to tune the whole world out if we want then we can just do our thing. Good luck in the future friend with your writings and your life! Thanks for sharing! It was wonderful and I really enjoyed hearing from you. God bless you! Also thanks for the tips on writing longer discussions and comments.......

hey citychic i have to say i am silent kinda person, i really don't talk much in real life, but then i have to say i really like to write down things to express myself, this site is so good to me, i have to say something and there are so many people out here who do listen to me, writing means a lot to me! i might not be very good in english but i guess it is quiet convenient enough for other people to understand, my mother tongue is Hindi and i am like to write down things, i also maintain a private journal and keep writing in it frequently, it is so wonderful to go through them one day and have some really nice flashbacks, it all feels so good, so i have to say writing means a lot to me, to be able to convey my message to others, that is one of the reason why i am here at mylot and the earning is a just a bonus to me.... earlier i was in yahoo answers then one day my friend told me about this site and now i am really beginning to love this site, hope to stay here for as long i can stay.... have a nice day citychic

As for yahoo, you said that you were at Yahoo answers then a friend told you about this site, so you move on over. So is Yahoo answers the same thing as yahoo messenger? There is so much here for us to learn my friend. Oh well, Tropical storm is trying to come my way now. I will have to finish chatting with you another time. Anyhow, I'm very happy to know you and hopefully we can continue to write and form good relationships between us for a long long time to come. Many blessing to you and all the Hindu people. The best way to express your thoughts and feelings is through writing. Have you ever thought of what would have been going through the writer's mind while he/she wrote? I like to write what I think is good and that's possible only through writing. I'm sure not too many people will sit or stand and listen to me give an elaborate speech. Writing changes that.

Great answer my friend. Now this was the kind of answer that I was looking for. I wish that there was some kind of way to stretch it out when a person give a great answer, such as you have done. But when I write back to them, Great answer. I am really hoping that you now as the reader, will be able to receive the full impact of what I'm saying. In other words, you need to keep on writing because you've truly persuaded me beyond a shadow of a doubt that you know what you are talking about. So don't you ever stop writing because you've broken the lock. Your mind has been able to interpret what writing is really all about.

I love to write. It is a passion of mine for so long, just like reading a book is. Doesn't matter what I write, as long as I am writing something. Whether I writer about what I have recently read or one that I have read a while ago, I love to write reviews about them. I also like to write stories. For as long as I can remember, I have had this passion to write almost anything. It is something that I have been doing for so long, I just don't think about it a lot. If I was not able to write, my life would be boring and devoid of something that is meant to be expressed.

I really dont know, but all i gan gather that it has been a valuable source of income for me, since I started working from home. Since then, I have written a book on freelancing and blogging, and started several blogs and sites, in addition to taking on regular freelance content writing jobs. In a way, it brings me income nearly equal to that i would have made if i was having a regular day job. I like it although sometimes the deadlines stress me out. Since this is a profession, I cannot be choosy and express myself and only can write according to what the clients requires. In short, its fun... if you need any help with finding jobs, feel free to drop a line..

Or all the different letters we would not have been able to send or receive. You are so right about the length of our discussions, It is best to add as much content as you possibly can. That is why it is important to start, or respond to good quality discussions. But their are so many that are hard to add a lot to.

Writing is very important in my life. Sometimes,It's only through writing where I can fully express my inner thoughts and dreams in life. They're times where I have this certain kind of feelings where I find it hard to express in sounds. It's only in writing that I found myself at ease or being content. So without writing I can't figure out my life with happiness. Have a great day!

Writing means many things to me. It is a form of therapy when I am jumbled or depressed. Just seeing the thing on paper helps me sort it out in my mind. It is expression - a way to de-stress or settle down. Poetry is very good for this. Sometimes I wake up and just have to write something down before I forget it. It soothes my soul. Sometimes it is a gift to others. I can express my feelings in words better than I can face to face. This is a poem I wrote for my grown son, who hurt me badly. www.authspot.com/poetry/the-fate-of-the-whippoorwill. I have been writing for a site called Triond for some time, to learn more about writing properly and hopefully make me some money. If I could earn a living, it would be a dream come true.
