earnings calculations in mylot

I'm brand noob here and very keen to get involved in discussions, etc. But I'm still not very clear on exactly how earnings are calculated. I know that it has to do with the wordcount of your posts, their ratings, the emoticons, etc, but I have not been able to find any specifics. I mean - what do you actually earn and for what exactly? How do things like wordcount and ratings directly affect your earnings? If possible, I'd be really grateful for some clear explanations of this from either an admin or a member. I'm sure there are other people wondering about it too. Maybe some examples of actual earnings figures compared to actual post lengths and ratings would make it all really clear. Thanks all

The clear explanation is, that there is no clear explanation. Mylot earnings are calculated by a proprietary algorithm. That basically means we can't know it. Here's what I've learned through experience... Each of my discussions earn me a little and the more responses, the better the money. You want lots of responses. Likewise, the longer and more detailed your answers are, the more they earn you. Is there a way you can calculate your own earnings? No. I know this isn't very helpful, but that's about all anyone knows. By the way, tasks are a great way of earning extra. The last time I looked today there were a few worth $4. That will get you to payout in a hurry!
