This is one of the reasons that i seldom watch TV, so many bad bad bad to worse media news...
First, Suspects robbed a van and kidnap two children and the person in the van can't fightback.i don't know what happened to the kids, but the van was later recovered.
then, a happy wedding turned bad when a man that was a grenade loose a safety pin killing almost two and injured 25 people.

then a bus driver got
sleepy and hit another bus, injuring 25 people and broke the other bus's engine.the guy might face possible termination from job.

another was a group of people fighting each other in a Bar and even insulted the media covering the incident. they were still at it when they went to prison and the girl was so fisty..
then, regards to politics, a religious christian leader is also
plans to run for politics...sure he has guts since it's probable that his millions of followers would vote for him..
I guess i should go back and attempt attending Church Mass again.
Because that's where i always hear the good news..
Dammit....

Reporters have the penchant of fabricating news so as to make it catchy to the public. Pictures of the worse scene is shown but it might not be as worse as reported. They know how to draw their audiences so that they are glued to the tv. Seeing is believing but it can be very misleading. Yes, I agree with you the only good news you hear is from the words of God. Attend mass regularly so you'll be blessed with grace from above.

I Remember watching a news on youtube about who's singer is about to sang that National Anthem on MAnny PAcquiao's fight...Lea Salonga made that answer on ABS but GMA fabricated it saying that she was disappointed that she wasn't chosen to sing..like that user said "the media was putting words to her mouth.

Gosh Letran, you really get a lot of bad news on your TV news. When we have bad news on our TV we don't have that variety. Take the Athens riots around christmas time, it was 24 hour coverage of the same thing, I remember sitting down in the cafenion with the TV news on and my friend coming over and saying wait, wait, that guy there is going to throw a dustbin in a minute, and he did, over and over and over again for the next couple of days. And of course every new person into the cafenion is told to wait for the guy throwing the dustbin. And the annoying thing is along the bottom of the screen are the words 'Live in Athens'.

I also learned that news while watching TV Patrol yesterday. People outside are beggining to be severe in their acts. I hate those girls who had a fight in the street, how can you respect them if they don't know how to respect themselves. And the religious leaders running from politics, I don't agree!

I seldom watch news anymore because it can be a depressing exercise. Having said that it is hard to avoid hearing it. I love listening to my favourite breakfast radio show and the news is on there every half an hour on weekdays! At least I don’t have to see graphic footage or pictures of car accidents, bombings etc.
The world is not a very nice place to be sometimes and news reports, although embellished by the media confirm this. Aside from not watching the only thing you can do upon hearing bad news is turn away to something you enjoy or better still go and help someone who needs it. Helping is the best therapy when one is feeling demoralised.

I know, I'd really like to know how people are supposed to live in this world with so much violence. I was just watching the news in Canada and heard of the looser shooting wild horses out in Alberta. I'm just disgusted with how this world's turning, I really wish that I could get off, maybe live in outer space.

Well, i don't watch too much news except to see what's going on in other parts of the world, i seldom watch local news, its not too much going on where i live. I usualluy just watch funny tv shows and some movies on tv, you don't totally have to stop watching television, but if you do then that's your choice. Its probahlly a good choice to stop watching television or to seldom watch it, i know there are some celebrities like the mowry twins who don't watch television that much. I don't watch much of it either because there's usually nothing on except old television shows and movies that i've seen a thousand times, some talk shows are good, some stationg like the history channel and the food network are also good. I also watdh a show on the history channel called monster quest, but tv nowadays is kind of boring to me and its almost always bad news when you turn on the news.

Hi buddy. Are you really awake now? Or that news made you awaken from your long rest and sleep?
Looks like we're both tuned in earlier with the same station and news program.
I heard about the kidnapping and the carnapping thing, they said, as they deliver the news report that police authorities are still chasing the suspects. I wonder on which part of the metropolis they will end and police will capture the culprits. Will they capture them, in the first place? LOL
In the granade-wedding incident, one person was interviewed on what can he say. He said that, if they carry explosives like that, they should not be calm as they might explode. "of course they will, as they are explosives" LOL
On the bus accident, I guess the operator of Nova bus should also get punishment for allowing their drivers work for that lenght of time. Imagine that driver, he said he felt sleepy as he already had driven for 14 hours. That's already an abuse on their part, they should not let any employees, specially the drivers work that much. One was asked about the incident, he said, we always tell them (drivers?) to keep their engines always in good condition. "But how about theie drivers condition?"
The groups in the bar quarrel? Well, they should be jailed, at least for one night. They were caught on camera and got televised? Well, well, well. At least by this time, I guess, they already saw how were they if they got drunk. LOL (i had have some experience in the past that when i get drunk, i did a lot of things i knew i never did, and only believed it when i saw the videos, so i quit getting drunk but can't quit drinking, lol)
bros. ed and mike, and so as manong ed of pampanga? no comment
no offense to the church, it's not always good news that a church leader delivers good news as there are times, these leaders include bad news in their homilies, especially when they talk about the government, politics, poverty, homelessness, and what else. grrrrr

Hi Letran! You are sooooo right! Sometimes I don't like to
watch the news either! But, there just isn't any way to avoid
it! When I turn on my computer the first thing I see is my
AOL news, the Yahoo news! So if I don't watch it on tv I
get it online! As much as we may want to avoid the horrible
stuff that's happening out there it is good to keep informed!
It is necessary to know what's going on in the world! I even
have to make myself watch the local news on tv to see what's
happening in my area! You have no idea how many times I have
turned on the local channel and seen my own neighborhood right
there on the tv! Something that happened only a block or
two away from where I live and I didn't know a thing about!
Now that's scary!

I pray for those who had been injured and killed. none of them deserve to have this accident, people are just either too stupid, neglectant or evil just to harm another person, am not sure what to say any more, those are new but the incident isn't when are these people gonna learn about safety
