Spam... is it really worth it?

Ah spam, spam, spam. That great delicious luncheon meat I have every morning with eggs... that is, if I can digest it. No, what I'm talking about is electronic spam (: I mean, now with advanced filters and spam protection systems, why do you think people still try and spam others' inboxes with ads that are going to be filtered anyway? Pretty much everyone I know either has a hotmail or a gmail or Ymail (or mail from some other big wig internet company out there) and they all have spam filters! Let's take those Rolex watches for one: To allow for one successful spam message, the message has to: 1. Reach someone without a spam filter - tiny, tiny chance of that there. 2. Reach someone who has enough money to buy a Rolex anyway - Ooh, probability's shrinking. 3. Reach someone who doesn't mind spam. -

While you make a valid point, the greater consideration is that in some countries (the US included) spam is actually ILLEGAL! Spam is annoying for all of us. I have a hotmail account that filters most of mine. I know that law enforcement can't keep up with all the rule breakers, but in this day and age, they are coming up with new technology to bust people everyday. For me, spam is NEVER worth anything!

Thanks for posting (: I agree with the fact that spam is never worth anything and have stated why above (: Still, trying to bust people isn't really the ideal way to deal with it. For, if one makes weapons to oppress the enemy, common logic states that the enemy will come up with bigger and better ones soon :3 === Did oyu know that spam produces 17 million tonnes of CO2 a year? Search it up on BBc news! (:
