Do you think IE8 is better than Firefox?

Hi All, Might be more powerful, but in terms of safety, Firefox will always win for me. Firefox updates every time they find a flaw, IE normally as part of the windows update, unless this has changed. I wouldn't use M$ IE for my safety. Almost all M$ products are sending feedback's to their server. What is your take on this?

No, according to almost 25% of the online users Internet Explorer versions greater than 6.0 are very "stupid". Firefox is our future, I am sure.

Hey there (: I totally agree, and thanks for the add! I love Firefox and the large amount of customizability offered through its add-on showroom. It's a great place to catch up on web technology :3

I have never been comfortable with IE. The latest version is supposed to bring a new experience to Internet surfers, but many of the features are available in several other browsers. Installation size, memory usage, speed, and security are still weaker when compared to Firefox. The only advantage of IE over Firefox is that there are a few websites which are optimised for IE.

I`m pretty sure that almost 90% are using Firefox and other browsers , like Opera, and so on , but Firefox it`s the leader . I used firefox for 3 years, and until now it was so good . Not even a single problem . I didn`t had so much spywares and much more. It`s faster than IE and it`s so nice . I really like their logo , that fox .. It was a great idea with that logo .

If firefox would have stopped updating itself a year ago... still it would be better than IE8. IE still has serious problems with managing .html and .css formats causing webpages to show up in the most ugly way. Serious fanboys of microsoft will always be defending Internet Explorer no matter what it actually does and how it works. As for the Mozilla Firefox sending feedback - that is more than good. That shows, that they care how their browser actually works, unlike microsoft, who merely sits back and every year of so launch another IE in hopes that people will like the shiny new look of it.

I have a Mac and Internet Explorer has not been an option for a long time. I switched to Firefox years ago when Safari was an issue with some writing sites I worked on. Now I just use Firefox because I have gotten used to it even though Safari works with those sites now.

I installed IE8 and ended up getting a technician to sortty out all the problems it brought with it - including gobbling up my memory. He reinstalled FF - and says it's the best.

I too received an update to download IE8, but usually before I download anything I look into the forums and see if anyone is having problems with them...and I found out that IE8 caused major problems in the beginning...so I opted out...I am still on IE7, and have no problem with it

I dont think so.Firefox is better than IE.The Opening of the tab takes some time in IE that makes IE slower Thats the main disadvantage of IE and that makes users going after Firefox..
