We finally got our fridge after the 3rd try. The first time the door wouldn't close so they ordered another one. Then the second time there was a ripple on the side where you could see it and where are fridge is placed you could really see it plus the other side of it had a big dent in it. Then finally the 3rd fridge they brought out was good. I got so frustrated during this whole hassle. I'm definitely going to write a letter to Lowes Home Improvement. I am wanting to get a new oven but am kinda scared to buy it from them after everything that we went through with the fridge. What do you think? Should I buy the oven from them or go elsewhere?

I would definitely write them and see what kind of response you get. If they make it right with you with a nice gift card or something, and it makes you feel better, then go with them. They won't want two letters going in bad about them. I would think they would be extra cautious with your things the next time.

I wrote them a letter today and I'm going to stick it in the mail tomorrow. I'll see what happens when they get it.

Well I have always got my appliances from sears and never had no trouble till we bought our house. I bought a new fridge and it arrived with a huge dent in the side so I know your frustration. I called about it and the lady said well because the dent doesn't affect the working part of the fridge how would it be if I credit you 50.00 and you keep the fridge as is? My answer was, And what do I do with the 50.00 ? Do I then pretend the dent really isn't there? No this is not acceptable this is my first brand new fridge and I want it brand new. I did get another one. Then a year later we got a new stove, best stove ever I loved it, but it looked like there was a white haze, actually what it looked like was as if someone took a handful of flour and sprinkled it in the oven but yet there was nothing there. It was a self clean oven, the repair man came out and he took the whole liner out and put in a new one and off he went. Well when I went to use the oven again it was the same way as if nothing was done and yet I knew the whole oven liner was replaced. I called sears again and again someone was sent out. I can only guess the first repairman got a talking to. Nothing was wrong at all. The oven light had a cover over the light and the cover was bevelled which was casting a shadow all throughout the oven. lol

I would probably go elsewhere. Did they give you any compensation for all the hassel? Even a small gift card to their store? A discount on your fridge? All you really need to do is windowshop to see what you like and call around to local stores and see if they carry it & how long for delivery + delivery fee's. We were going to get ours from Best Buy but we looked around and found the exact model cheaper elsewhere & we didn't have to order it online either. Plus that store has a wharehouse a block or two away and hubby just took the truck over and picked it up the same day.

They didn't give us anything other than the upgrade on the fridge. I figured they would have at least knocked some off of the price but we had already paid for it so I guess maybe they couldn't have given it back. I don't know. But I did write them a letter today so I'll see what happens when they read it. We got free delivery with the fridge but my husband had been planning to pick it up until they said it was free delivery.
