I Plan On Doing Some Business With Whole Foods Now

With the Pro-Obamacare boycotting, I think it is just to supply Whole Foods with my business. I have only shopped at the Whole Food in my area twice since it has been open, mainly because of it's meat selection. The CEO of Whole Foods, John Mackey wrote an op-ed that suggests alternatives to a single payer health care? For that a boycott. Even though this company is pretty much the icon of liberal corporations, this corporation has step out of line, which I do like doing business with a company that does not always do what it is told. Just an idea of some of Whole Foods liberal policies, The company has strict environmental and humane animal treatment standards about how its food is grown and raised. Their employee's get to vote on what type of health insurance they want, and everyone receives health insurance. The companies lowest wage earners make $13.15 per hour, much higher than Walmart a supporter of Obamacare. Sorry left but you can not tell us all what we can do. I know you are use to playing by these rules, agree with us, or we’ll crush you. Go right ahead and try it!

You know what's really stupid? They want to boycott because they don't like Mackey's views on health care. But they totally ignore what they would be doing to his employees. 89% of Whole Foods' employees work enough hours to qualify for the company's health insurance program and Whole Foods pays 100% of their premiums. They don't pay for the deductibles or copays, but they give each employee a health care spending account each year with $1800 in it to defray those costs. Tell me, what company treats its employees better than that? And the libs want to boycott this store? If they say they are for providing health care and they boycott this store, they have their moral compass stuck far up their behinds.

Rollo1, Of course all of us on the right know this health care bill has nothing to do with health care. Whole Foods health insurance plan is a enormous success. Those on the left don't want what's best for everyone, that's why they are getting all this opposition at the townhall meetings. All I want is FREEDOM. I'm not looking for a hand out. I'm sure some liberal voters think this will be FREE!!

I like their companies HSA plan, which is a very good one. Most companies that do offer HSAs do not contribute to the plan.

I would never have considered shopping there before simply because it appears to be one of those stores that caters to liberal-leaning upper middle class customers and I wouldn't expect to get good prices. However, I will consider it now, and there's one right down the street from me.

I saw an article about that. The first thing I wondered is where will all those people start shopping if not Whole Foods? They going to forsake their principles on the environment and animal treatment? It amazes me that they are supposed to be so understanding and accepting of others, and yet this person that leads the company in providing so many things that are good for the environment and animals, gets turned on because he disagrees with something that has nothing to do with the environment or animals.

at least the whole foods where you are because where i am for one the reason i know this is my brother in law worked there until he quiet 1 he did not have health care from them they told him he could not get it and he was full time as 2nd he did not make even close to 13.15 a hour he only made 9 a hour , plus even if i did not agree with the health care thing which i do agree with i would never shop at whole foods it is a rip off and a waste of money , the meat they sell is bad for you i was told by a bunch of drs and health people if you dont use it in 2 days then it can make you sick , plus they say most organic food that they sell in stores like that are not 100% organic only 45 % so i would never waste my money on that place.
