How do people who don't have computers, cellphones, ect. operate in today's society. Everything is so advanced now a days that you sometimes have no choice but to keep up with the new technology. My grandparents are a perfect example, they just got their first computer a week ago and have no clue how to use it properly.

Some people just do things the old way. If they have a call to makr, they make it from home or use a payphone, if they aren't at home, they don't worry about calls. Computers are great, but not everybody feels the need to have one. I know a lady who is elderly, lives alone, and has no desire at all to own a computer. She is quite content to sit at home, read, do crafts, sewing, things like that. She rarely even watched television. She does own a cell phone, but, she rarely even carries it with her. She has told me on several occassions that she feels that the things we all seem to have to have are overrated in her opinion.
