I have been using Windows media player to play MP3 for more than 5 years. LOL! I notice many people don't really like to use Windows Media player as they prefer other players. Can share with me which player do you use and what are their advantages? :)

i use itunes since i use my ipod for my music. i don't store it on my computer i store it on my ipod. i don't really care what player i have to use just as long as it plays my music i am happy. i used to have a favorite it was jetaudio or something. i liked it because i could stick it down in the corner next my aim and stuff. it didn't need a window up on my desk top.

yes, it's quite true as long as it can play the music. I also tried itunes before but it's a bit slow for my com.

I had tried few music player and now I am using AIMP. It is for me, the easiest music player to work with. The default skins of AIMP is greyish-black with orange colour for the buttons, bar and some other things (I know, I'm bad in describing it). It is easy to shift from a playlist to another playlist, and adding playlist is easier. Beside the appearance and easiness, it only takes less than 8MB of space. AIMP also starts quickly when I compared with Windows Media Player, Winamp and jetAudio Basic, and Media Monkey which makes me stick with AIMP. Playing almost all kinds of audio file let me have no worry of any music file I downloaded. AIMP may not be the best music player but it is my favourite.

AIMP is still in it's beta version, but it works perfectly stable. The latest version is 2.60 Build 491 Beta 3. I found it in a free software website. The installation file is not more than 6MB. AIMP supports plug-ins which widen its functionality. Minilyrics (a software that show lyric of the song being played) supports AIMP which is one of the reason I changed to AIMP. JetAudio Basic on the other hand, has a bigger installation file -more than 20MB-, which I don't prefer. Although the name says "Basic", JetAudio does more thing than AIMP. It can burns CD, recording, and can do some file conversion ( I don't know what type of file, probably audio files). Despite JetAudio advantages, I still prefer AIMP because I use it only to hear music. Have a nice day!

hello winterliang I have used the others on my computer'but I come back to winamp as it has the best features for what i want.I load'a bunch of songs and compostions into it and play music for several hours before bedtime. they come out clear and play one right after'the other. Its just great and well I like it and am more comfortable with it as oppposed to the others.

Yeah dude, I love windows media player too, to me it sounds the best i have to say especially with the surround wow effect, it is awesome... i was once a fan of winamp, i don't find it interesting anymore, i have got my self a good headphone and am noticing the difference, i have to say windows media player rocks, i also sometimes like to use foobar2000, it is also nice and you can customize it as you want, foobar2000 also plays .flac files and you can even convert audio formats with the player... i like it

me too, I often use Windows Media Player and Winamp, simply because these are what I am used to. Am never really the picky type, as long as you could listen to my favorite tunes, then that is all that matters to me. Plus, it is very easy for me to categorize the songs that I want to listen to.

Same here. Whatever is available, i just use it. As long as it plays music and I could listen to my favorites, then I have no problem with that

Hey, I prefer to use the VLC media player, mainly because it comes with an equalizer so you can change how the song sounds either to have the bass boosted, or for it to sound more classical. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
