Hi , how do you think the book which named The World Is Flat?

Today, I read a book named the world is flat A brief history of the twenty-first century. I found it was worth of reading. Now, I haven't finished reading the whole book. If you read it, how do you think this book?

This is one other book in my life which I purchased and haven't read beyond say 30 to 40 pages. I didn't like it or the view of India presented in the book.Well, I do think Thomas L. Friedman is a good writer. But then I don't like what he appreciates of India. Even my brother was surprised that I didn't like the book. But then well, that is that.

Hi, thank you for sharing your opinons. Now, I didn't finish my reading. But I found it was really worth of reading. In the world, we faced with many challenges than before. I think it is really a brief history of the 21 century. Knowledge, technology, collaboration connected people in the flat world.

May be you are right. Maybe I must somehow get over my prejudice about this book and blind myself to my initial resistance and read this book over. I hope I get the necessary drive to do so. The economics of the 21st century has changed and shifted growth away from the thinking and technology generating countries like USA primarily.Though everybody would say that the technology generation capability of US is because of internationally borrowed intelligence, the fact still remains that it is the enterprising spirit and the faith that US companies place in Research and Development that gives technology to the world. I wished India were such a country, at least after all this surfeit of excess of funds and money.India still continues with quick-buck making startegies only. Thus, the picture that emerges of India in this book is not to my liking. So I have abandoned reading this book.
