trust me man, Chinese tea is an absolutely perfect alternative of coffee. I'm a Chinese, like most people here do, I usually take several cups of team in my work time to keep me in good work status. Give tea a try. lol.

In order to stay awake I do not rely on coffee. The caffeine does give a spike of alertness. After that it pulls back, making it easy for me to fall asleep. In addition coffee gives me a dry throat when I wake up. I find strong tea works better. The effect is longer. Sometimes I drink one glass of cocoa based drink to two glasses of tea. The result is being fully awake with energy. Another method does not involve drinking or eating anything. The use of the mind works most of the time.

I have lots of friends that use tea as a remedy for everything.. stomach aches, head aches, colds. etc . I wonder, though, is it a bit over rated; or, does tea really do all that? I would think Tea is excellent for keeping you awake.. as it has caffeind..how much caffeine is in tea in comparison to coffee?

I do not remember the exact figure but the caffeine content in tea is less than that found in coffee. In addition there are other chemicals in tea, which among other things help to calm down an agitated person.

Well I dont drink coffie sice I cant stand the taste off it. But I kind of wish I did since it would wake me up. But I usally just drink an energy drink like the rockstar one which is my favorite drink. And that usally wakes me up very fast or I have a popsicle which also wakes me up.

What does the "Rockstar" energy drink taste like. How much of it do you drink..do you worry that you may become dependant on it for keeping awake or even having energy?

I drink those energy drinks to keep me awake. And when those failed, I would give myself a few slap on the face to keep me awake.

A few slaps on the face? Wow. I don't find that helps at all..only leaves me looking like I got in a fight..Glad a few slaps and few energy drinks does the trick for you.. I have given up on the energy drink fad.

well since lack of sleep is why I am looking for ways to stay awake .. I can't close my eyes. thatis obvious..if the answer was so simple, I wouldn't have created the topic. .I work late. and sometimes do not get enough sleep so want natural remedies ..besides the obvious one of sleeping longer... that help stay awake.

I don't know of any natural things that keep you awake. For me coffee does not work. I can drink coffee at eleven and go to sleep at eleven thirty. I know this because I love coffee and drink alot of it.

I don't know about natural, but they say it is! I got started on those energy drinks! Not Red Bull, but a friend at work used to drink Monster energy drinks. At first I was Leary of those. I eventually caved in and gave it a try and now I'm a firm believer in them! It's not for everyone, but I can attest it works for me! tdemex

I have tried some energy drinks befre but they seemed to have their own side effects.. Energy drinks are really not 100 % natural..alwasy some alteration done somewhere..Glad that "Monster" works for you though.
