When I was in high school I took a film class. In this class we wood never watch any hollywood movies. We watched alot of foriegn, or independent films that some people may have never heard of. I was wondering if you guys knew of any because some of these kind of films are very interesting. I would love to watch some more. Thanks!

One of my all-time favorite movies is a film that is out of Canada. It is called "Dance Me Outside". It is about a murder that happens on a reservation in Canada by some white men. It is very moving. One of the actors in it is Adam Beach, who has moved on to star in a couple of films in Hollywood such as Wind Talker and I think is on Law and Order. You should check it out.

I acutally had to surf the net and order my copy. I just checked and you can order it from hotmoviesale.com for about $8. That is the best price that I have found. I remember that when I tried to order it from Blockbuster, they did not carry it in their warehouse. But it is almost cheaper to buy it than it is to rent it. But trust me, it is worth it. It's funny in places, makes you angry, and makes you sad. It has all of the elements of a good movie.

I finally got round to watching one of these films which have been on my list for a few years now. The movie is called Malena and is an Italian movie which is a basically a coming of age tale set back during the second world war. In my opinion it's a beautifully crafted movie which relies on such a visual story that you can understand and appreciate the story without the need for subtitles.

Thanks! In my film class we learned how to watch movies while thinking about the way a movie was filmed so this sounds like a great movie for me to get back into thinking that way. While i watch it i'll think about why the director chose to do what they did. If they chose to film it a different way how would the story change. Thanks a bunch! this will give my brain a workout before I start college. I really need it. My mind is not in the thinking mood and i need to get it to that.
