i was thinking after hearing so many people getting their phones lost or stolen and with my blackberry costing me a fortune and me having EVERYTHING in there i was worried it might get stolen and the data used in it.. i mean im not stupid and have account numbers in there but i do want to use the address book in there and would hate for a stranger to not only have my friends and relatives names, numbers but their HOME addresses too! i had not put the addresses in so far because of this fear but i keep needing them when i am not at home and dont have the address book with me.. so i decided that i would password/lock my phone so no worries (other than how the heck am i to afford replacing it lol) if something happened.. especially since im going on vacation soon.. do you have yours password protected or locked?

what i'm afraid to lose with my phone are informations that so important to me, like bank accounts and their pins. the phone itslef is nothing but the accounts, they mean a lifetime to me and my family. so me too, put locks in the phone, and if this is lost, they can't get those informations.

I don't password protect my phone. I have trust with the people around me especially my house mates and officemates. They know that I don't read their messages and it may be the reason why they also respect my privacy. I am confident that it is hard for anyone to stole my phone since I always carry it in my hand. Its because I usually take pictures using its camera wherever I go :)
