Today my daughter is 6 weeks. I cant believe how fast it went by. She is already trying to roll over from her back to stomach, shes already teething and she gives the most beautiful smiles ever! My oldest daughter who is 5 1/2 wants to do everything with her baby sister. It is just too cute. When my middle daughter was born my oldest didnt really care too much because she was only 15 month. Now that she is older she understands more about whats going on and she even wants to change her diapers. I told her maybe when the baby gets a little bit older. I had to share with everyone because the first year to me just flies by in a heartbeat.

You daughter is absolutely beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing the picture of her. You're right, the first year of a child's life goes by much too fast. My children are almost 7 and almost 3 now, but I do remember when my baby was little, his older sister wanted to do everything for him. It is such a blessing to see that the older siblings love their little siblings. Hope that your daughter continues to be as cute and precious as she is now. Is she a good sleeper too?

Thank you very much. I remember when my 2 older daughters were babies and now they are 5 1/2 and 4. It is such a wonderful thing to have the help from them. My baby is an awsome sleeper. For the last week or so she has been going to bed around 10:30pm and sleeping until about 5-5:30am. It's getting better day by day. I cant wait until she will sleep all night long. It seems it's not too far away. Thank you for your response.

It is lovely that your baby daughter is developing well, reaching her mile stones and having a lovely time. I am so pleased to hear that your baby daughter is loved by her big sister. I have an 9 week old baby daughter and I have a 27 months old son. He is still rather jealous of her. My baby girl has learned to knock a rattle with her hands. She smiles so sweetly and kicks her legs a lot. I will see if she is able to roll yet.

The first year really does fly by, my daughter is 8 months old now and it feels like it was only yesterday that she was born. People always say that when you have children that you should cherish every moment becuase they grow up so fast but it isnt until you have children of your own that you realise just how quickly it passes.

Awwww!!! I am so happy for you :) I remember when both of my kids were that little and it broke my heart once they were 6 weeks old, because I was only allowed 6 weeks off of work getting paid, so once they were that old I had to go back to work, and that sucks! That's great that your other daughter likes to help with the baby, that is so adorable! My elder daughter was the same way as your other one, where she was too young to help, she was 12 months old almost, and she could've cared less about the baby LOL!

I think the first year pretty much flies by. My daughter started doing things way too early, so it made it seem to go by even faster. Enjoy all of her firsts. I am sure they will start coming even more quickly in the coming months.
