Do you think of the trashy man?

Have you ever wondered or worried I should say when you fill your trash can to the rim and beyond on trash day? I have to say I think about this sometimes, but in my defense we only have trash pickup once a week out in my rural area so when I begin cleaning out stuff and getting rid of junk etc. my can is always overfilled. But sometimes I cringe thinking "this trash guy is gonna get tired of picking up all this stuff..." Do you ever think about your trash man?

I don't think about him/her per say in that way, its their job to pick up the trash and if you are filling it up each week then he still has a job. But think about this, whose job is more important? If you don't do your job for a week and the trash person doesn't do their job for a week then who suffers more?

It's nice that you're concerned about the garbage man, but he is a professional and probably doesn't resent you for giving him a little extra work. I'm also in a rural area with once a week pickup, but I actually can't think of a time when my toter was overfilled...maybe I would feel a little guilty too if that happened all the time. Still, I'm sure you're not the only overfiller on the route! Is there anything else you can do with some of your trash, like for instance donating some old items to charity instead of junking them? Maybe you could garden more and thus buy less packaged foods so you don't have so much waste. Other than things like that, it's rather hard to cut down on your trash.
