Okay. I went to get some bread today, for 6.7 hkd. The bakery's right next to the bus home and there's only a bus every 30 minutes, so when the bus came outside, I quickly gave the cashier six dollars and 70 cents with three 2 dollar coins and 7 ten cent coins. It was the exact amount - Nothing wrong with that. Next thing I know, I'm trying to board the bus while the cashier is trying very hard to snatch my pineapple breadstick back, yelling something about not accepting ten cent coins. I mean, seriously, guys. Ten cent coins not being accepted? I've heard of 1000 dollar notes not being accepted due to there not being enough change for them, but not accepting 10 cents? In the end I boarded the bus - With no food and no refund:( What would you have done? (: I'd be interested to know. ------- Interestingly enough, talking about bread is mature content...

I have had stores not want to accept coins. But it is legal tender. I think I would have skipped that bus and gone back for my money and my food!

Haha (: Thanks for posting. I was just so surprised when that woman grabbed my baguette back :( I thought I was being robbed.
