My partner is scared to get one done. The only thing stopping him is the thought of the pain. Is it really painful?

My brother in law had it done and said that it barly hurt. He was up and around doing just about everything the next day that he normally does. In the long run it is cheaper than other birth controll methods and has a much faster healing time than the surgery a woman would need to get the same basic effect. Tell him to stop being a sissy and just do it, it is not going to hurt near as much as he is thinking.

lol, thanks, i've tried telling him that but of course he says i wouldn't know which is true. I'm giving him some time to decide. that's all he asked for so i have to give him time.

Time is good, he should not feel pressured, but you can tell him that it is far less painful than both having a child and raising one. (while having children is rewarding I have never met a parent that has said it was also completely pain free)

Why want to have a vasectomy done? I am sure there are other alternatives to avoid getting it operated on? :) Well, this is very personal, sorry if i asked but I will not allow my partner to do it. Any operation if not painful also will be uncomfortable, talk it over again with him....share the worries...
