how do u delete an account

A friend has opened an account but wants to change their username, can they delete their account and start afresh?

Hi there! I do not think it possible to delete the account. If one does not remain active for three months, his/her account will automatically become inactive. S/he may open a new account with new user name. However, I feel that let it go with the existing username, username is not going to make much difference in participation or for that in earnings.

Just for future ref Deep, it can be deleted instantly.....we just did it after a day by the using the provided link above (in one of the responses). It was really simple to do.

HI dear! I did know that account could be deleted as well. This discussions of yours added a leaf to my knowledge too. Thanks for initiating it. I did not normally read the others' responses, before submitting mine, I saw the other responses, where a mention of link was made, once I had posted my response. Deepak

I don't think it is worth the hassle just to change the username.

I will advice him to contact the administrator to change his/her username. That is the best idea (according to me)

Hi, Sri! There are several people with multiple accounts, although the site frown upon that. Cancelling and starting over with a new "identity" should be covered in the FAQ.

i tried that account too, but it didn't work on me. but since the oldies said, your friend can try it. Am not sure if they did allow the change in their user names here.
