Organizing my email

I have alot of things coming to an email address from various sites I have signed up with to make extra money. I was reading somewhere a suggestion about creating folders for each site to make it a little less over whelming. But know I'm confused as to how to make the emails go straight to each particular folder. Not sure if I'm posting this int he right area but hear goes . . . I created a yahoo email account just for my online earning venture and its really good cause it keeps my personal email from getting full and cluttered with paid emails and such. Does anyone know how to set up filters on yahoo mail that puts certain senders in a particular folder? Any advice would be helpful as this is the 1st time I've used yahoo. Thanks!!

I don't think I know of any filters like you are talking about but I might can help a little. You may have to put the emails in the folders manually. I have an extra email because of my online dealings also but most of the stuff I get could be considered spam. So if i am doing some sort of offer or mail list I use this extra email. Websites that I am a member of I use my regular email where I do have a couple folders set up. I have one for misc email I need to keep for what ever reason and I have one for passwords (like when I first sigh up somewhere and they send a confirmation email with my user name/id and password). Once I read an email I delete it, mark it as junk or more to a folder. It is not necessary I keep all the emails but I have the option in case I want to. Hope this helps.

I fear you may be right. I'm still looking though and even sent a help email to yahoo admin if they reply back with help information I will replay back to you. I personally feel it has to be possible and if it isn't it won't be long before it is. There isn't much you can't do on the internet or computer these days. And it would make it so much easier if there was an automatic filter you could set your self. What I'm looking to be able to do is say for example devote mornings just to one sight and after lunch to another and then evening and if I could set an automatic filter to do this form I wouldn't have to sift threw the emails myself each day. Sure I'm just dreaming and aspire to be an overly organized person. LOL just to give you a clue I create a spreadsheet for everything my husband says soon I will create a spreadsheet about my spreadsheets!

I agree ! It's very overwhemling being a member of so many different sites. It sounds like you have a good organization system. What I did is create an email specially FOR survey sites, and sites like MyLot - where I earn from. This way, it doesn't interfere with my regular emails or things that may be of more importance to me. But I like your folder idea, and I think I might have to start doing that as well!
