Bridget Jones Diary - did you like the book or movie better?

This was the first book-turned-movie where I actually preferred the movie MUCH better!! I thought Renee Zellweger (sp) played Bridget REALLY well and the other characters were well-played too. I can't explain it, but I liked the movies MUCH better.
What about you? Did you prefer the books or the movies? and why?

i haven't really read the book.. so i choose the movie...if the movies were adapted from some books, i will choose the books, because it's more complete...in the movie some scenes are changed and some story parts are either altered, removed or changed too...

It is really depend. Like in my home town, they mostly take a story from the book and make it like a movie... sometimes they edit too much information and sometimes it is too much things going on. But it could be good sometimes... lolz.
to me, I love movie the most cuz I dont have to spend too much time reading it and all I get the action(big picture)

I have only watched the movie so I couldn't really rate the book but the movie was very funny, sexy and romantic. Renee did a great job and made such a sacrifice to have to gain weight for that movie
