I really love the california king, just something about that big bed that looks so nice, right now I have a queen size bed, I had to get rid of my king size bed my room is smaller now, I miss my bed. again I ask what size is your bed? I am not one of those people that sleep all over the bed, just the look of the king size bed is so beautiful to me, some people do not like it, they think it is too big makes no sense, I am tall so the bigger the better, although its more a visual thing for me, I really like the the way it looks.

Hi kitty. I have a queen size bed. I'm happy with it and don't need anything bigger than that. You got me curious. Exactly how tall are you? I'm on the tall side, but a queen sized bed works for both my husband and I. We'd be in trouble if our kids wanted to lay with us though as all four of us wouldn't fit! Happy mylotting!

Nope, I'm 5'8". I may be a few inches shorter than you, but I'm still the tallest female in the family...at least on my mom's side anyway. Oh HOTD, you're too funny! So, how does the rest of it go again? LOL

My bed is so big it takes up my entire room. I have a skinny path on one side to crawl in. I do have a small space at the end of my bed just enough for a chest of drawers. I have a king size water bed, I believe it would be the same size of a California King. Its cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Its 75% motionless and instantly comfortable when you lay down. I have a perfect bed. I am tall too so I like the extra length.

I have been sleeping on a water bed for about 25 years, I am not too worried about it springing a leak. If it does I just put a patch on it, that works. I even have cats that sleep with me. I make sure I keep the bed covered with several layers of blankets. I will be sleepy good very sortly, it really is the most comfortable bed in the world. At least I think so.

I have a queen size bed. I like it because I'm a larger person and fitting into a smaller bed is at times problematic especially because I need to move around a lot in bed to prevent getting achy and also to use the bedpan which I do about twice a night.

Hi Kitty. I downsized from a queen size to a full size when I moved into an apartment. It is very comfortable for me, and the bedding is less expensive. I have slept in king-size beds in hotels, though, and they do look nice. Karen

Hi Kitty...yes, to me, that makes a lot of sense. I, too, am a visual person. How things look can affect our mood for the good or the worse. I like things to look "right" to create a certain ambience. I like things to match or co-ordinate, to be in balance.

O.k I am too tall for a full size, my queen is o.k but I would prefer the king, you know I am now starting to realize that I am a visual person, my eyes play a big part on my feelings toward things, do that make sense? I never realized it until now, Irish say she like the feel of things still then it did not dawn on me that I have a strong feeling toward the visual aspects of life/things/people hmmm, I need to think about this, lol hope I made sense sometime I feel like I really know some of you, so I just say whatever comes to my mind, smoochess thanks for the response.

I sleep on a double-sized bed... I would love to sleep on a California King.. but they are expensive to start with.. Perhaps if I have looooots of money, I might be able to afford one. And I could get a bigger room too, so my California King would fit well... but hey, i don't even know when that will be... i got this bed when my old one (which I had when my 14-year old son was still a baby) finally gave up and broke in half... It was too old and the wood was falling off little by little... The bed I have now was the most affordable I could fin out there the time i was scouting for a new bed. Then I bought the cheapest mattress that would fit its size too. I am okay with my small bed though. It doesn't matter that much to me for now. I am okay as long as I know I have something to sleep on.... If I am sooo tired, whatever I sleep on won't matter that much anymore.... But who wouldn't want to sleep in a big soft bed???

lolz...that happens when there are kids around kitty.. my nephews and niece always show up in my room and play around me as if they could not play somewhere else... but it's okay, they're kids..and they feel so comfortable around me. I am taking care of my sister's son..eversince he was a baby, and now he's almost 3 years old.. he even calls me 'mama' coz he grew up thinking i am his mama... my sister is very young and needs a jumpstart in life and baing in CA with a kid, and no job...it's hard for her too move around, and find job with no one to take care of her son. She used to work as a CNA in a psychiatric facility.now she is on constant search for a job... so his son now here sleeps with me...i think of him more than my son too...he has no idea i am not his real mother.

Hello my friend So sorry I missed this one, notifications work when they want, I read this happens but grrrr This only tells me how much alike we are, all kids seem to come to me, its really funny I am tall and you would think they would be intimidated by me NOT, I say to them sometime what is it why are you all around me, they just look at me and laugh I love them, like they say kids are the best judge of character. I plan on taking my niece in when I go back to work, my mom says she tells her mother all the time she wants to love with me, I want her with me as well, my sister unlike yours does not have a clue when it comes to raising kids, hopefully soon iI will have her with me. Sorry for the late response my friend. Thank you.

Hello my friend I know what you mean, I am happy with mine as well, the california king is really expensive huh? I never checked out the price, go figure I still want to get one I just love the way it looks, see I am tall and thick so the bigger the better for me, and my grandson is as close to me as the skin on my arms so I need something I can move him around in he sleeps so bad seems like I am the only one that suffers, I can't sleep if I am not comfortable, but he loves his grandma so what can I do lol

I currently have a queen size bed and it I definitely like it. I am a snuggler at night, so I don't like too much space. I have slept in a King before and it is OK, but the Cal King is just too big - I feel lost!

LMAOO, If you like to snuggle the california king is not for you, me I can't snuggle I like to sleep on my stomach most nights, but sometime I find myself on my back, I don"t like sleeping on my back at all, but give me a big bed anytime, and you get over there and let me have this space lol my daughter don"t like the big bed either, she was like mom get rid of the king size I held on as long as I could be it was taking up space so it had to go, I will get another one, trust and believe that, thanks for the response.

preema..I hear you..I use to have a calf king and I would lose my husband every night. We are the kind that has to be touching each other all night long. In that king bed he was either hunting for me or vise versa. We now are living in our camper and it has a normal queen bed and it is plenty big enough for us.

Hi apples99, Looking at this pic and reading your thoughts you remind of my daughter she is little and a twin will be fine for her as well, although she has a queen, I say enjoy your twin if you are comfortable, then when you are married buy your queen, probably appreciate more then. Thanks for the response I know that is not you in the pic let me make that clear, its just a feeling I got reading your post, the energy made me think of my daughter is all.

ok, so the foam is soft? I always thought they were firm, you know what I would like to do one day buy a trampoline put it in a bed room so all the kids can jump in the day, sleep at night, don't that sound cool, I saw that on dharma and greg always like how she had pillows all over it, and jumped on it when she felt like it, I know I have to have high cealings, just a thought thanks for the response..

Our bed is queen sized. It is the perfect size for my husband and myself. We started out our life together in a full sized bed, but after sleeping for a week in a king sized bed on our honeymoon, we realized that the full size bed just wasn't enough for us. We upgraded to a queen because our bedroom set was either full or queen sized so it didn't cost us as much money to change over. I really do like to sleep in a king size bed every now and then, but for the two of us it is too much bed. Neither of us really sprawl out and I personally like that we are typically touching during the night.

LOL, I know what you mean, nothing wrong with that, at least you know what I mean about the king, I love it, will have another sooner or later, like I said the room I have now really won't make sense to have a king, glad you like your queen thats what I have she is cool for now, thanks for the response

I have a queen size bed. I really don't have enough space in my room for a king. Well,I may have the space, but then would have to get rid of one dresser. And, where would I put my clothes! I wish I had a king. Especially, when my daughter wakes up in the middle of the night and decides to crawl in. She takes over the whole bed. I'm on one edge and my husband on the other edge, and she is sprawled out in the middle.

Hi realan, Amazing how kids do that, they really have a lot of nerve lol, when we use to sleep on the king, my grandson will find you so he can put his foot in your back/face/ear he is the worse person to sleep, yet he don't like sleeping by himself, then to make matters worst he grinds his teeth, now that really makes me mad, I wake him up for that one. thanks for the response

Currently we're sleeping on a queen sized bed. It's not an actual mattress bed, we're actually sleeping on a raised air mattress and surprisingly it is quite comfortable. I was a bit afraid of sleeping on one at first but we love it. Our first one wasn't in great shape so we had to return it and now the second one is working wonderfully. It doesn't make noise when you move and the air stays in it quite well. I actually think it's more comfortable than a regular mattress.

I have yet to sleep on a air mattress, I know a few people that have them and they always complain the air does not stay in, I would say you have a really good one, I told my daughter she should get one for my grandson, but we have a kitten now I am sure you know that will not work out to well, I really like how high they are off the floor, they do look comfortable, I would buy one when I do I want the king size just for company, thanks for sharing.

Oh yes I agree, i usually sleep in one spot for the whole night I like the thought of being able to move around if need-be, something about that king size bed I love it, Me/My daughter /Grandson slept in my king size bed, but my grandson, he is the worst, You can have a bed bigger than the whole room he will find you and put his feet in your back or face, I have to move him most of the night, some people just need to have their own bed at all times, he still likes to sleep with me, I am like oh man here we go lol

When you say standard do you mean full? has to be pretty good size if the family fits in it with no problem, my queen is pretty cool for now, I like to be able to stretch being tall, glad you enjoy your bed, I like mine but would really prefer the king, california king at that, do you know that not all king size beds are the same, california is the largest thats what I was told, my king size was not california, but it was big.
