Believe it or not I am in my 40's and I have only just learned how to ride a bicycle. Can you ride one and at what age did you learn.

i learned to ride a two-wheeler when i was 6 or 7. me and my sister would bash into trees to stop the bike or fall off. pretty nifty, eh?

that sounds like my sister. she bashes into buildings to stop her truck and goes into ditches if you tell her to turn right. funny, huh? maybe someone should have tried to help your little sister learn to use her brakes rather than watch that folly. where was your mom?

I learned to ride when I was 4. My grandmother said I just went out in our driveway and started riding. I rode my bike a lot as a kid. Back then parents didn't haul kids around. If we wanted to go somewhere, we were expected to take ourselves. I quit riding in high school, because it just wasn't cool to be seen on a bike. Now I'm 55 and haven't been on a bike in like 40 years, so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to ride any more.

You never know untill you try. I felt really silly at first trying to learn at my age but once I got the hang of it I wished I had learnt a lot sooner. Thanks for reply.

I started when I was about 5. Then as I got older, didn't ride. For work a couple years ago, I volunteered to go to the Bike School. It'd been 20 years since I'd been on a bike. What a fun school lol, and yes you do still remember, kinda shaky but you do. We were going up and down stairs, jumping things, doing tackles lol. Had a lovely bruise abou the size of a grapefruit on my leg to go along with it as well. Have fun and enjoy the exercise!

You were brave, getting back on a bike after all that time, and you are right, it is great fun. Thanks for reply.
