The Next Lestat?

I've read in one LiveJournal community (one of those dedicated to VC) that the remaining books of the vampire chronicles (meaning those that were not made into movies yet) will be made into movies and they are already considering who will take the place of Tom Cruise and Stuart Townsend and become the next Lestat.
So, who do you think is best suited to play the part of Lestat de Lioncourt in the movies?

hi, from what i have been reading from Anne Rice posts on facebook is rob downy jr will be playing Lestat....I dont know if I see him as Lestat. I thought Tom Cruise did a good job. I never saw Queen of the Damned because I heard it was so far from the book that I would not like it. So I can not say anything about Stuart.I would have loved to see Heath Ledger try Lestat. I think he would have been good.
But I dont know who else I can see play him.

oooh..RDJ?uhm, can't imagine him as Lestat. Other VC fans in the same community also says so. I was imagining Orlando Bloom at first until I realized that Lestat never speaks British...=)
Anyway, I agree. Heath Ledger would have been alright.
but, let's see.
